This is a little lyric I wrote about my job today, enjoy.
OFFICE SPACE
Five days a week I'm a mindless drone Sitting here behind this cubicle Dialing faceless people on the phone Dreaming of doing my cuticles Silly customers all in a huff They all think I'm paying attention As they complain 'bout all sorts of stuff I read the Geneva Convention
This is not what I went to college for Yeh, I'd rather be watching paint dry I called the agency There's still no vacancies Except for a greeter For Eggshells Sold Cheaper Time to check the faxes For the battle-axes My request for time off's been denied Why did I leave Edwards Air Force Base For office space?
Customers screaming in my ears Over rebates missing in action As I munch on a Three Musketeers Mute them and listen to some Clapton Now my boss is breathing down my neck With a bad case of halitosis All in a snit over a lost check Letting lose with his bellicoseness
Promotions here don't always mean more pay No incentive to rise above the herd E-Mails unending In need of ammending Keep our servers crashing No one's heard of trashing HR's gone through changes None of which are painless Overtime's now a four-letter-word Why'd I snub a role with Chevy Chase For office space? Why'd I turn down any other place For office space?
The first half of that movie is the funniest movie of all time.
Well, as somebody said: working hard is the only means to avoid working hard. [Rich heirs and lottery winners are an exception to this rule]. Getting a juicy bribe now and then works, too.
Has anyone watched the American/NBC version of "The Office?" It's hilarious. Shame their ratings aren't better.
Paychopuppy: Did you ever watch Kung Fu?
MotleyGirl70: I love Kung Fu...
Paychopuppy: Channel 39.
MotleyGirl70: Totally...
