The thing is, I didn't take my digital camera because I just had no idea of what we were going to see! BUT I had two disposable cameras in my purse! One had a half a roll and the other was still in the plastic!

I have 8 pictures left on that one.

You and Hair are the camera queens of the Hobbit Hole.

Never leave home without it.

Hope the neighbors keep their dogs up or everything will be strewn all over the place in the morning.

Made some pepper flakes....waiting for the dust to clear. [cough, cough, sneeze, sneeze]

Well, if you get the place upstream from the ferry, not too far from Buckland, within the next couple weeks or so, we'll be digging the russian iris and splitting them. :-)

Evenin'

I just made it in under a hunnert, but I bet all the good rooms are gone. And, is anybody in the shower? I've been doin' yardwork.

Nana spent about 2 hours dividing daylilies for me. Saved me lots of time and gave her a chance to play in the dirt.

Wife's on her way back from Roanoke. Jr's gettin 'ready for the dance. Bought him shoes and a haircut this mornin'. With payin' off his class ring this week, that boy's breakin' me up.

Gots chicken thawin' in the microwave.

Put 'em in a food processor or blender and process away!

Oh yeah...start with dried peppers.

Just put some pepper flakes on pizza.

Isn't that great when adults treat kids so respectfully? Of course, it helps that Matthew was in his uniform, and acting very mature.

It was chilly this afternoon, and dreary with all the rain, so I got in a baking mood. Made a dozen little mini pumpkin breads, and one in a regular pan. Then mixed up some Chocolate Chip Pecan cookies, and now am mixing some shortbread. Made some Brown Sugar Pecan, and then will do some plain Shortbread. I had bought one of those shortbread molds during the summer when it was on sale. Each one of the nine sections has a snowflake on it. I also have a round one with six sections, each one with a Christmas design on it. I may do the plain shortbread using that one. This will be the first time I've used either shortbread pan, so this is an experiment. I'm sure SirKit and the kids won't mind being guinea pigs. ;o)

The first batch of shortbread is in the oven. Like I said, I haven't used these stoneware shortbread pans yet. I got the snowflake one at the King Arthur Flour store up in Vermont early this summer. It's the same store we met at last year.
