Upon the hearth the fire is red, |

Still round the corner there may wait |

Home is behind, the world ahead, |

Happy Dance, indeed!
That's gonna look nice when it's all done!
Do they sell 'em in bulk?
We did a haunted house in college and borrowed a coffin from a local funeral home. They gave us a shipping coffin. We put it under black light and there were hand prints on the lid.
Best we could figger was that it was ~used~ and that was from the embalming fluid.
Either that or they planned it that way and loaned it out to college kids every Halloween to scare the bejeebers out of 'em.
I never really liked you.
That said, I'm over 36,000 as of this afternoon. Brain's fried from yardwork and rehearsals. And Jr. and I just got tickets to see Harry Potter at 10:00 p.m.
I hope I can stay awake.
Steve wanted to go to the thrift store to see if he could find a pair of basketball sneakers. I needed a black long-sleeved blouse to go with my leopard skin print Sag Harbor skirt. Conveniently, the blouses were all sorted by color. So I went to the black blouse rack and started thumbing through it. Found a great blouse! A pull-over knit, very simple, just what I wanted. I found it more by feel than anything, the fabric was good. Close inspection showed a very well-stitched blouse, with reinforced seams.
So I checked the label and it said Ballinger-Gold. Means nothing to me but under it, stitched on as an addition was the label "Miss Jackson's"...which is a very fine ladies shop at the most exclusive shopping center in Tulsa!
Oh, I got it for $4.00!
Evening! We went out for pizza and pints tonight. Now to hit the couch for some more 24.
Way cool! I'll bet it looks great with the skirt!
Joseph is on a Confirmation retreat all weekend. SirKit will go in the morning to attend Mass with him and bring him home. Clare and I have to sing in the choir at 11am Mass at our Parish. In the afternoon, we're all going to see Goblet of Fire, then go out for supper!
We are planning on seeing GoF next weekend (maybe friday?). BittyGirl is always awful at movies, so I may try to arrange it according to naptime. PE has to work, or I'd just leave her with him.
Finally finished Mauritius from Master and Commander. I went to the bookstore to get the next book in the series and came home with three Star Wars books, a Magic Schoolbus book on Imperial China, a DK book "How Children Lived," and a Thomas the Train book instead. :-/ I didn' even get a chance to ~look~ for my book. Ah well. At least the minions are subdued for now.
/evil overlord
*wince*
I s hould be writing but I got The Black Pirate from Netflix yesterday. Thought I was getting Tyrone Power but it ended up being Douglas Fairbanks.
Hey PG, thought I should say that GoF was a very dark, rather scary movie. A lot of the scenes were very intense. I liked it a lot but it is rated PG-13. Dunno if you already knew that or if it affects your plans at all.
Aloe, check!
Thanks! We'll keep that in mind.
So the simple answer is the trailer campers next door are moving. They've moved one of the trailers already, and are in the process of moving the rest of their frap, I guess, but it's goin' slow. They'll just be moving to a new place to park the trailers. Here's what's more... They want this! This camper belongs to a friend of mine who wanted to store it for the winter over three years ago. It's out in my near 'back forty' area of the yard. It's pretty rough looking now, but it's still dry on the inside, and my friend said they can have it.
They're thrilled, I'm thrilled, we're all thrilled.
They're all the lifestyle, without any of the romance.
That camper has been an eyesore since my friend abandoned it here. I just hope they can actually get it on their truck and out of here without dropping it. It doesn't have the jacks that go with it, it'll have to be jury-rigged up somehow to get a truck under it, and I told the guy "If you drop it, it's your responsibility to cut it up and get it out of here."
Subdued minions, check. Desolation Island, check.....
It turns out that it is more than okay that I didn't get to find my book. We apparently already have it, unbeknownst to me until this morning.
We begin operation bunkbed today. PE bought all the PVC pipe already, and is now going over the plans once more before we begin. I'll be sure to take pictures as we progress.
