Heh, you just might. 'Specially if you do a lot of pasting people's posts into your replies.
Ground beef update.
I tell ya sis...I found a great deal! Just stumbled on it!
Last night, while the jedis were at Royal Ambassadors, Steve and I went to fill the truck up with gas and stopped by Albertson's on the way home. They're generally too expensive, but sometimes they put their meat on sale and you can get a good deal. So we went to the meat section and saw no real bargains, so as we were walking away we saw the butcher behind the "butcher block" section. He was shutting down the butcher block and bundling up large packages of ground beef. We asked him what he was doing and he said "We ground up this beef just today and the regulations say we have to sell what we grind in one day, so I'm packaging up this ground beef to sell quickly."
Found out it was 85/15 and he was selling it for 99 cents a pound! We bought 18lbs of it!
*snort* Don't feel bad, Rosie. That was popular when I was a teenager, so it's been off the air for a L-O-N-G time!
It was a "TV Drama", that dealt with a lot of sexual hanky panky going on in a otherwise upright-looking little town. VEY racy for that time; mid-60's.
Chick TV.
Hmmm. I don't like double breasted suits because they never look good when they're unbuttoned. A single breasted suit looks good either way, and is, in my opinion, less 'trendy' looking.
Sounds like it was a great, and fruitful, gathering!
WOW! That's a GREAT deal!! I bought some of that 'Press and Seal" plastic wrap last week. I'm going to experiment with making up hamburgers and wrapping them individually to freeze. I mix up one package of Lipton Onion soup mix, and a tablespoon or two of either A-1 or Worcestershire sauce, and a little bit of Montreal Steak seasonong with 2 lbs. of ground beef and make burgers. The kids love the flavor, but I'd love to have some already made up and in the freezer. They'd thaw pretty quickly if they're individually frozen, and I only want to have to do one step to get them to that point.
If you already own it, and it fits, then for sure wear the thing! Congrats on getting back into it!
Lunchtime super funkle!!
A simple but important matter in formal situations....
You know, I make frozen burger patties all the time and they are great! I just take them out of Rudolph frozen slap solid and stick 'em in the George Foreman grill. They cook up great!
I do the same thing with frozen chicken tenders...for chicken tacos or sandwiches.
You know, I'm very grateful for a lot of things and I know I've said this before but I really appreciate our trash guys! Remember when I switched to them because the other guys weren't dumping our trash...just reaching in and grabbing the top bag of trash (and eating a bag of popcorn at the same time)?
These guys that I have now are great. If I forget to put the trash on the curb, they come up to the house and get it!
I was just looking at my checking account, which puts a copy of my cancelled checks online so I can view them. The trash guys always write "Thank you!" on my cancelled check!
I'm thinking of paying ahead in December...a couple of months...just so they'll have that bit of extra going in to the holidays.
And they're definitely going to get a pumpkin bread!
Just tell them to wash their hands first :~D
I've done this for the trash guys before...not these guys but at the duplex where we lived before we moved to this house.
I provided not only a pumpkin bread, but a knife, little plates, napkins, and some hand wipes! All in a brown sack with a bow on it.
Matthew used to love to watch the trash truck come by...heh! It was before Joshua was born and we would sit outside on trash day and watch for the big truck to come! They always waved at him and he just loved it.
You're such a nice person :~D
I remember getting Christmas treats from a few of my customers when I had a paper route. :~D
Matthew and Gidget have a lot in common :~D
Everyone I know gets a pumpkin bread! LOL!! All my neighbors, the postal worker, the trash guy.
I work it so the postal worker's bread is hot from the oven when she delivers the mail ('cause she delivers it the same time each day.) That way her truck is filled with that good smell!
Some neighbors love it...some don't, I guess. Last year, one of them came to the door, I said "Merry Christmas!" and handed him the pumpkin bread. He said "OK." and took the bread and shut the door.
Hmph!
I'm looking forward to giving the new neighbor his pumpkin bread...his wife (the dog groomer) walked out on him. He ended up with the house. I feel bad for him.
~sigh~
When I worked in DC, I got Christmas treats from hotels and convention bureaus from across the country.
'Course I was particuarly fond of the treats from a couple of our sponsors - Seagrams and Philip Morris...
I ~may~ get a calendar this year...if'n I buy it muhself...
You have my address, right? ;-)
