Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Fare you well! Fare you well!
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Thanks... please, please tell me Anna Lucia von Obnoxious had her leg ripped off and her head beaten in with it?

Hehehehe... what was the upshot on the ninja llama thing? I figured they must have genetically modified hooves in order to grip their ninja gear.

Nope, not yet! Show ended with the Shooting of Shannon, from the Tailenders' point of view.

Are you gonna take the research position? That's what David did last summer. He was thrilled to work with one of his favorite professors.

How do you feel about getting hitched up with a one-eyed war hero whose very existence is a Scandal in the town?

What a hoot! Homer's like, "What is up with you?"

I dunno... I have support for another summer of systems work, if I want that, or I could do both. The research sounds fun. But if I'm planning to get out and get a real job, I might want a real internship over the summer. Dad says he can get me one at the company he works for easily. Or I might finish my degree and start looking for a job - if that, I'd probably take a real internship whilst looking. There are a lot of "depends" in there. Or I might do something else altogether.
At the very least it was a flattering offer.

Well... we kinda agreed on the toxic llama spit being a formidable weapon, and how the front hooves could possibly grip things. I guess I can give them specialized hooves but I don't want to stray too far from llamadom.
Ninja Llamas from beyond have a caste system so there's different groups of llamas trying to prove their worth. Llamas are territorial so they're all gung ho about defending the Beyond thing. The BadGuy and his demon toaster are encroaching on Llama territory. And you've also got Llama castes up against each other.
Since I was having a little problem with llama "manual" dexterity, I thought I'd make 'em real sneaky.

There are a lot of "depends" in there. Well... "Depends" require at least one size bigger pants, or they look funny. Kinda bulgy on the sides.

Maybe they hold things in their lips?
Hey, I reached my stupid word goal! I will never make a resolution that depends on other people like this. The other Fort Collins writers were write-y yesterday and averaged like 3000 words, so I had to write close to 3000 words today.

Huh. I just saw an ad for the "official Peter Jackson King Kong Movie" video game.
The movie isn't even out yet and the game is set to be released on November 22nd. How on earth are you supposed to play a game based on a movie if you haven't ~seen~ the movie it's based on???
