Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Fare you well! Fare you well!
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Heh...
This one talks in the third person. And Bob really wants to beat him senseless, but suspects he'd like it.

Yep...the Nazgul thing bothered us, too. I watched that with my siblings, and we were all yelling at the guy. ;-)Except for some silliness from Dom and Billy, and some bows to current liberal thought, I felt there were some valuable insights in the actors' commentaries. Fortunately, Viggo wasn't in there.
I tried listening to the production commentaries, but quickly grew tired of, "and here, the actor had to wear rubber armor because he was slammed against a wall".
To: RosieCotton
That's "talks about himself".

gotta be wrong... tho I prefer the Riddermark to the Gondorian girlie-men...Let me guess, you were trying for "dwarf". Great fighters when they had to be, but even greater craftsmen. The Rohirrim are pretty much a warrior society.

Even if you could, you shouldn't.

I'm "back" I suppose. I'm actually trying to write tonight. Rehearsals yesterday and today.
I've made some basic "decisions" that I'll discuss offline sometime. I'll most likely no longer post during the day. I may lurk and post occasionally, but mostly I'll check in in the evenings, and sometimes early mornings.
I pretty much hate my Nano characters. None of them are behaving as they were supposed to.

Right now all my Drama Queens are milling about trying to decide what to do next.
They wouldn't have this problem if they'd have followed the script!

Well, the good news is...the furnace is out...
They're coming in the morning, but it's a bit chilly in her now.

I pretty much hate my Nano characters. None of them are behaving as they were supposed to. Welcome to the club!
I also have about five times as many characters as I first intended, and one more is about to show up.
I guess I make up for my lousy action-writing skills by having three bazillion characters. Maybe.
