Most intellectual property matters are civil (private counsel) not criminal (public counsel, or prosecutor). Call your local bar association and ask for a referral to a specialist in that area. The prosecutor just puts people in jail or collects fines for the government. If you were deprived of your property you want to recover from the person who took your property, which entails private/civil counsel. I know your state is based on the Napoleonic code, but I think the distinction still applies. Good Luck.

My personal advice to you is to call the prosecutor's office and make a lot of demands, drop a name that you think will impress them, and be sure to say "I pay your salary."
