Welcome!!!
"We're so glad to see so many of you lovely people here tonight...

...We would especially like to welcome all the representatives of Illinois' law enforcement community who have chosen to join us here at the Place Hotel Ballroom at this time. We certainly hope you all enjoy the show and remember people that no matter who you are and what you do to live, thrive and survive, there's still some things that make us all the same...

...You, me, them, everybody..."
"
You know people, when you do find that special somebody, you gotta hold that man, hold that woman, love him, please him, squeeze her, please her, signify your feelings with every gentle caress
because its so important to have that special somebody to hold, to kiss, to miss, to squeeze, and please

Oh, Scott. I am so sorry. I hope things turned out better than you thought for the poor girl. She would have had a real treasure in you.

Didn't you hear the story about the professor(I think), who lost his job, because he asked a woman"wasn't your hair blond last week?"(I think I read it here).
I truly DO believe most women out there, do not mind comments from men,(as long as they are decent, that goes without saying)and many like to hear them. It is just that some of the "femilezi" crowd, seem to ruin things for others.
Read the thread"big girls don't cry". It seems that yelling at a woman at work is now a form of "sexual discrimination", against a woman.

Well, Paul, it has been my experience that if the man starts out by saying that he cares for a woman, then she will take it from there! At least you guys get to say it first!

I never heard that story. Well I certainly hope most women do like to be complimented. It is the only way I know how to talk to a woman anyway.

Goodgirl is here at last!
I've been flitting around here, getting into small posts with a few people about a few things, but I can't seem to get involved in a real conversation with anyone.

That is what my therapist says! Darned, and I paid her $98.00 to tell me that and I could have gotten it from you for free!

Oh about how to talk to women. Appearently giving a compliment is not the same as it was 100 years ago. Giving a compliment (complimenting on something they are wearing or some such) is the only way I know how to approach a woman (no kidding). But I was also talking about a regret in my past. Knew a girl who was a friend but was too shy to tell her how I felt and she moved on.

I will get flamed worse than the primary of a Thermonuclear warhead lighting off the secondary for saying this, but here goes::
Not ALL women like it when you say" I care about you". That kind of talk from me, to a woman at college, whom I THOUGHT wanted to be a friend to me(in reality, she was just using me, to get caught up on her missed classes), nearly got me kicked out of college, and sued.
I've spoken about it all here, before. It was over 2 years ago, and I am able to initiate a conversation again, without the mortal fear that I had after that.
However some here will say"you got what you deserved, people get what they deserve". No, I did NOT get what I deserved.
But that is the past, and I have moved on.......
Now, I, and my family have to concentrate on helping my cousin ,who has been kicked out of his house, by his wife, and facing divorce. He has NOT been unfaithful. She has just seemed to have "lost it, and lost interest in him", after 18 years.

I read Scott's earlier post, too.
Looks like we're all having crying depressing discussions about past romantic mistakes.
Great! I excel at this sort of thing.

Most women love to be complimented! It just has to be sincere and done in a respectful manner. ;)
