"We're so glad to see so many of you lovely people here tonight...
...We would especially like to welcome all the representatives of Illinois' law enforcement community who have chosen to join us here at the Place Hotel Ballroom at this time. We certainly hope you all enjoy the show and remember people that no matter who you are and what you do to live, thrive and survive, there's still some things that make us all the same...
...You, me, them, everybody..."
" You know people, when you do find that special somebody, you gotta hold that man, hold that woman, love him, please him, squeeze her, please her, signify your feelings with every gentle caress because its so important to have that special somebody to hold, to kiss, to miss, to squeeze, and please "
Something like that. ;-)
Wow. Well I will still look. I am interested.
Well it may be complicated but it is better than being alone.
I bombed in high school one time. I developed a crush on a friend of mine who was a girl. So, I sent her some beautiful flowers, and waited until she told someone else about it so that I could call her and say, "I heard you got some flowers!"
So, I nervously called her up and said, "Hey, I heard you got some flowers from a secret admirer. Any idea who it might be?"
She said, "No, and I don't care. That's the stupidest, most childish thing anybody could do."
Whoops.
Good Evening all, just getting in a catching up on this thread. Hope all is well with everyone. Oh I'm an Elm according to that web site. I can live with that.AWB
I'm up to page 37 on Google.
Ouch...
I never did any of that but I did have one girl who was a friend. I was too shy to escalate it beyond friendship and she moved on before I finally had the strength to do so. I still deeply regret that.
I had never seen that mean-spiritedness before.
Well...but IMO, until you're happy with yourself and by yourself, you won't be happy and successful in a relationship.
It's a strange attitude to take. Sending flowers childish?
She wasn't worth it!
I am quite confident in myself. It is finding someone that is the problem for me.

Well...it's still early, but I'm having trouble keeping my eyes open already. See everyone tomorrow, perhaps!
Have a good evening / night, all!
Read some of my older posts, and you will see that you are not the ONLY one, to have made that mistake, Paul.
Goodnight
The only thing I regret is this awesome girl I knew in college that I would have done anything for -- I loved to see her smile!
She was in a horrible relationship with this guy that I saw right through, and I couldn't have been happier when they broke up.
After a long time apart, he proposed to her as a way to get back together. Not a good idea. We were really close friends at this time, and I remember going to a after-concert celebration for the singing group we both were in. She was going to be married the week after, if I recall.
She was so sad that night, and I just wanted to say to her, "You don't have to be married if you don't want to." She went off by herself and I followed her. She hugged me with tears in her eyes and said, "Some girl is going to be extremely lucky to marry you." Then she said something about always wanting to marry a guy like me.
Like a wimp, I just held her. I should have been a man and told her that she was not exhibiting normal behavior going into a marriage. But I walked away that night because I couldn't tell her how I felt about her.
I remember crying as I drove away, because I was never going to see her again.
Man I am sorry to hear that :( I know it is hard to tell somone how you feel about them. And some people think it is easy for us men to say stuff like that.
Well, I've saddened myself for the night. I'm going to bed, where hopefully I can dream of cowbell.
Good night, everyone!
