Hoagy is the last person I'd think of as the model for James Bond! I remember Hoagy dressed more casually, not in a suit, and a hat perched on the back of his head. Not exactly sophisticated! Although in that bottom photo, he looks a little like Noel Coward...

I remember him describing Bond as looking like "a young Hoagy Carmichael."

I thought James Bond was a fictional character... :0)
