Hillary in the White House? My nightmare scenario.
My thoughts. | RetSignman

Posted on 10/10/2005 4:40:27 PM PDT by RetSignman

I was amazed and puzzled in 2004, when Kerry lost, that the democrat party shifted to the far left, but after thinking about it for some time, I seen a possible reason.

The democrat party united in a common cause, and that was to put all their hopes behind Hillary Clinton, but they knew she had a problem, she has been defined, and rightly so, as a left winger and would be unelectable unless they could change that perception. They knew, along with the rest of the country, that she would start moving to the center, so that wouldn't be enough, so the rest of the party moved to the far left and are trying to create the impression that Hillary isn't far left...we are. In their minds, this shift would make her appear as a moderate. This scheme, at this point, seems to be working.

Further down the road, after she is nominated, they know that they will have a hard time taking back the House and Senate because of all their previous wild, hard left statements, so I see Hillary calling on them for a more moderate stance on behalf of the democrat party. Of course, they will comply and along with help of the media, will emerge as the 'Grand Uniter' of the the democrat party, a strong woman and presidential material.

She has a big stumbling block in her way and that is her husband. They know that there are many people in the country would be appalled and turned off at the thought of him back in the White House, preying on and mentoring interns etc., so I could see where a plan could be in place, where 'Bubba', ( it would be rumored), was caught with his pants down again, but this time, it would be contrived. She can't look weak or play the victim this time so she would file separation or divorce papers and the media will do their job with all Hillary and Bill 24/7 for months, sucking the live out of the election period. She would have an absolute lock on the women vote and the love and sympathy of the country. The media would protray her as a strong, betrayed woman who has had enough and won't be a victim any more. This would, in my opinion, occur sometime within a year of elections which would give it time to work out in the media and gain all the publicity they can get, all favorable to Hillary.

In their devious minds, this would propel her into office and suddenly they discover 'Bubba' is found to be totally innocent of the charges... this time. ( probably a right wing conspiracy). They reconcile and with the love and adoration of the media, moderates from both parties, they are both are back in the White House...again.

I know this may be a bazaar and somewhat conspiratorial scenario but with democrat politics, as they are today and has been since that unholy couple has been on the scene...couldn't it be possible?

Naaah, she'll just seize power in a "night of the long knives" scenario.

Unelectable, as is most every other democrat. The next president will be decided in the republican primaries, which is why you see people starting to take sides over the Miers nomination.

I think Reno will be going with her on the red pick-up tour soon.

If she does run - she will run while keeping her Senate seat just like Lieberman and Kerry did. She won't give up any power EVER! What we have to do is beat her out of her Senate seat first before we worry about her being president! If she wins NY State in a landslide there will be no stopping her! The only ones who don't want her to run besides Repubs are the Far Left. They hate her vote for the war and also her pandering back and forth from the left to the middle.

I think we are going to have a Moderate Republican President, who will stay the course in foreign policy, but wont take a stand on social issues, we'll have to elect conservative senators for that.

I agree 100% with that assessment! The writing is on the wall already!

Yep, even the dems would never make her Commander-In-Chief in spite of what Geena Davis has been trying to portray in her idiot show.

There's a dark & a troubled side of life
There's a bright, there's a sunny side, too
Tho' we meet with the darkness and strife
The sunny side we also may view

[cho:] Keep on the sunny side, always on the sunny side,
Keep on the sunny side of life
It will help us ev'ry day, it will brighten all the way
If we'll keep on the sunny side of life

The storm and its fury broke today,
Crushing hopes that we cherish so dear;
Clouds and storms will, in time, pass away
The sun again will shine bright and clear.
Let us greet with the song of hope each day
Tho' the moment be cloudy or fair
Let us trust in our Saviour away
Who keepeth everyone in His care

Don't sweat her yet......

I don't think she will run. If she thinks that she won't win, she won't run. Right now, it doesn't look good for her and she must be aware of that fact.

Take a pill. Your vote should still count for one in 2008, same as in 2004. e.f. in some precincts which are probably the same ones as earlier also. Hillary is Bill without the charm, and a whole lot of hidden cellulite and an annoying penchant to wax shrill like Evita.

Did my post sound frantic to you?

It was a meant to be a possible scenario of the democrats to gain the White House and it doesn't require any medication on my part.

IMO, she will run because she is all her party has to offer.

(Don't sweat her yet..)

I'm glad you put 'yet' in there, but we will win if we are thinking ahead of them with all possibilities of the tactics they could use. They are like the communist's with their 'five year plans.

There may something you have overlooked about the liberals and it's standard throughout their party. When any liberal runs for office and the candidate starts making statements which sound even a little conservative, they are overlooked because they know they are lying.

The Far Left doesn't hate her, they understand what she HAS to do to win.
