A newly discovered virus has killed dogs in at least seven states, and veterinarians, kennel operators and pet owners are concerned because researchers say there is no vaccine and dogs do not have immunity to the new flu.
Dr. Cynda Crawford, an immunologist at the University of Florida's College of Veterinary Medicine, said in an audio interview posted on the university Web site that the disease is only deadly in rare cases about 10 percent in puppies and old dogs but is of concern because it is spreading rapidly.

You demonstrate the most pathetic ignorance that I can recall. I do hope that you are self-medicating. See my tagline. PHUI
what the heck is a silver colloidal machine..? where do you get one? price? Thanks for suggesting but I have never heard of it. If it works well with pets, is it beneficial for owners?
I really like mom & pop cures etc. For my dogs & cats I try for adding garlic into diet. Helps keep away fleas & is a natural antibiotic. Adding also some tomato products regularly that helps w/acid the urinary tract
Hi huff. do you know something negative about the silver collodial? I am more & more open to off the wall/unique things as I get older & see the follies of REAL medicine etc.
If you don't know anything about how it should be if it has turned out right you would need to experiment. You can taste the SC in the distilled H20 but not see it with the naked eye when it is make right. I usually make a wine bottle full at a time in a fish type bowl. It takes my machine about 4 hours to make it. If it goes too long the silver particles start to clump and fall to the bottom. If it goes too short of a time you won't be able to taste it and it won't have much strength. I try to take it on an empty stomach and also hold it in my mouth for awhile. The site is http://chetday.com/colloidalsilvergenerator.htm
If you want to buy a machine I would recommend one that stirs the water as this makes the smallest particles. The SG6 Auto looks like one that if I were going to buy one I would buy. It apparently knows when the batch of SC is ready for you so you don't have to know when to turn it off as it will let you know. You can log onto http://www.silvergen.com/ to read about it and/or to order it.
I have been using SC several years. I take it if I feel anything coming on. When I am on top of things I take a quarter cup a day to keep germs at bay. I have had many good experiences with SC keeping me from getting sick. We first started using it when my sister had a bad lung infection that nothing seemed to help. I finally searched the net and came up with trying SC. I bought her some Futurebiotics SC and as soon as she started taking it she started to get much, much better. Making my own proved to be extremely much cheaper than buying it already made. I would recommend that in this day and age when you never know what germ is out there that everyone uses SC.
thanks so much for info (that is a cheap machine..I assumed it would be in hundreds). I make up an antibiotic for my outdoor ferals & have had mixed results with it. Not all get it. I mix up & add to dry/wet food combo. Your system seems better.
I do appreciate it
Sorry. I don't use 0oogle unless there is no alternative. I suggest that, unless you stick to MSM-PC approved topics, you don't either. Go to the root documents.
"ping" to Doug for more free advice! Any thoughts on silver colloidal, or up-dates on flu? (appreciated your "in-put" on the earlier dog flu thread...THANKS!)
No nutritionals will be preventative or will treat the disease but they cannot hurt. The worst that can happen is the colloidal silvers lighten your pocketbook but hey, I buy lottery tickets too.
This is another interesting read. Vetvetdoug if you make your own it turns out to be very inexpensive.

The Boogie has had a cold for several weeks now, with the occasional sneezing and coughing fit. Every time it hits I think of the dog flu hell be 14 years old next month.
