If you don't know anything about how it should be if it has turned out right you would need to experiment. You can taste the SC in the distilled H20 but not see it with the naked eye when it is make right. I usually make a wine bottle full at a time in a fish type bowl. It takes my machine about 4 hours to make it. If it goes too long the silver particles start to clump and fall to the bottom. If it goes too short of a time you won't be able to taste it and it won't have much strength. I try to take it on an empty stomach and also hold it in my mouth for awhile. The site is http://chetday.com/colloidalsilvergenerator.htm
If you want to buy a machine I would recommend one that stirs the water as this makes the smallest particles. The SG6 Auto looks like one that if I were going to buy one I would buy. It apparently knows when the batch of SC is ready for you so you don't have to know when to turn it off as it will let you know. You can log onto http://www.silvergen.com/ to read about it and/or to order it.
I have been using SC several years. I take it if I feel anything coming on. When I am on top of things I take a quarter cup a day to keep germs at bay. I have had many good experiences with SC keeping me from getting sick. We first started using it when my sister had a bad lung infection that nothing seemed to help. I finally searched the net and came up with trying SC. I bought her some Futurebiotics SC and as soon as she started taking it she started to get much, much better. Making my own proved to be extremely much cheaper than buying it already made. I would recommend that in this day and age when you never know what germ is out there that everyone uses SC.
thanks so much for info (that is a cheap machine..I assumed it would be in hundreds). I make up an antibiotic for my outdoor ferals & have had mixed results with it. Not all get it. I mix up & add to dry/wet food combo. Your system seems better.
I do appreciate it
