Got an elder arthritic one here in NE Ohio, and because of age, the flu is worrisome too, if he should get it...
"ping" to Doug for more free advice! Any thoughts on silver colloidal, or up-dates on flu? (appreciated your "in-put" on the earlier dog flu thread...THANKS!)

Keep your dog healthy and stay away from coughing dogs and those that treat them. This virus will be self limiting if common sense is used. Less than 1% of the dogs that get this will die and one out of five will be totally asymptomatic. This Canine Influenza (CI) is highly contagious and your dog is most at risk at places that congregate dogs. The disease is transmitted by fomites which is fairly unique.
No nutritionals will be preventative or will treat the disease but they cannot hurt. The worst that can happen is the colloidal silvers lighten your pocketbook but hey, I buy lottery tickets too.

This is another interesting read. Vetvetdoug if you make your own it turns out to be very inexpensive.
