My son, also a freeper, just completed his BASIC and AIT training. He returned home Thursday night at 2200. He is supposed to report to his Reserve Unit within 72 hours.
But no one has been at his unit. JT's gone over there, telephoned and left call back numbers on the answering machine. He is worried about not making contact and being considered AWOL.
Has anyone ever experienced this? What is the usual plan of action?
At present he's planning to keep phoning through Monday, but not travel back there until Tuesday. It takes a little over an hour to get to his unit and doesn't want to spend the gas unless someone will be there.
So do you. Professional help.
Next time you come back, please feel free to post some actual evidence that the American people are not allowed to think freely, and evidence that our "no trolls" policy at FR is directly related to that state of mental tyranny.
You are sort of like a Nazi!
Please also let us know why not wanting to listen to your tripe is just like being one of the people who slaughtered 6 million Jews. I'm sure that you will provide us with an insightful discourse on the subject.
Sure, we're just too incompetent to live. That's why you guys are headed toward permanent minority status. Way to go!
4 smooth kills...
Hey SwampSniper, get 1 more and you're an ace!
And the zot was a direct hit (headshot) every time it was a wonder to behold!!!
Take off your shoes
Bye Bye...you woke my kitty up...thats what happens when you drink bong juice.
He was there. No one else was there. He's in the reserves and not on duty all the time. How could he be AWOL?

Sorry - I don't know. I'll bump/ping a few though, who might be able to help.

"I think the Army Reservist should call his headquarters in D.C. and go active duty immediately because of all the trouble we are having in Iraq. I mean wow!! What a complete mess! It is ridiculous the level of incompetency that is present over there. They need help like yesterday!"
Stuneing bit of logic, That.
Perhaps you should call the CAR's office and volunteer to square them away - I'm quite sure that they would gladly accept your humble efforts to alleviate their woe's.....
Dope. Get a clue and get a ZOT
All your free thinking are belong to us.
I know you probably have your decision made, but just in case, have him call his recruiter. Maybe they have the commander's home phone number or some other way to contact someone in the chain of command.
"....explaining yourself to the CSM probably isn't the best way to start off at a new command."
Hey, there is no splainin nothin' to me! But a real Command Sergeant Major might require some different action!
Thanks for your suggestion. I've passed all of these on to Jemians Terror. I don't pay too much attention to what he chooses to do. JT is 18 and may need to have options laid out before him. But he is in the Army and can make his own decisions.
I was both regular and army reserve. Keep us all posted as to the results......
