Good tactic.
Later, in a future thread, I'll tell you the story about when I got pulled over for drunk driving, even though I wasn't drunk.
But we've got to go to bed.

In Washinton there us a town that nabbed you for going 1 over the speed limit.

I have never gotten out of a ticket. I did get one last year, they are doing construction near my house and the main road was construction zone 25, but you have to literally put your foot on the brake to go that slow, because it is downhill.
So, I was pulled over and the cop asked me if everything was correct on the registration. I hesitated becasue I was not sure how to answer it and said, well, its in my husband's name but he is dead and started crying. The cop was so cold about it and said, that does not matter and proceeded to write the ticket. In my mind, that is ALL THAT MATTERED. Not that I was trying to get out of it, but an I'm sorry or something would have been nice..
So, the next few weeks, I rode the break in that area and even the construction workers would yell at me to "go faster lady, do you want to get a ticket or something"....can't win for loosing.. Thank goodness for online traffic school.

I can't believe someone would be that unfeeling. Maybe he was having a bad day, but that was no excuse.
They made you go to on line traffic school? I did not even have to do that for my ticket. I just had to send them a money order for some outrageous amount of money. My policeman even told me, "Now, Miss Virginia, I want you to go out there and drive safe for me. We have had several accidents tonight." Then he told me that I should get a motel room in Jacksonville and spend the night and get some rest.
"The one who let me off was a local officer, it was about 1:00 in the morning and I was 20 minutes from home. When he asked me how I was, I told him I was tired and how long I had been driving and that I had to go to the bathroom. All true. Then I kept rattling on. I guess he thought he had better let me get home to the bathroom. LOL!

LOL! And I will tell you about when I got pulled over for the same thing and I had not even been drinking. I was just lost (actually taking one of my scenic departures from my driving directions). LOL!
BTW, good morning.

Wow, there's more of us than I thought.
It sure seems that way, I guess we can sniff each other out. B-D
Do you get the constant "You must be spoiled!" everytime you tell someone that for the first time?
Sometimes, although my parents divorced when I was 10, I don't get that as much as some other though. I was among the first wave of the 1970's era "latchkey kids." B-P Still I did have it better than some I suppose, our house had air conditioning since 1964 B-D

I am a big fan of sci-fi. I used to play Heavy Gear (by Dream Pod 9) and Mechwarrior (by FASA). Is this particular game sci-fi?
Well, in a sense, the Morrow Project has certain sci-fi elements to it such as people being cryogenically frozen, fusion power for the vehicles, universal poison antidote and so on, some say the man behind the Project, Bruce E. Morrow was a time traveller or slider and he has been using that to get technology for the Project since the early 1960's. You do have some "deus ex machina" there, the fusion itself is to prevent the Project Teams from playing "fuel trek" (ala Twilight: 2000) to keep things running so their missions will not suffer
Some "Project Directors" (PD's - refs) put in things like a few insular advance societies that have robots and clones like in one Play By E-Mail (PBEM) I'm in but those are few and far between. Also in that game, there was an EU version of the Project, not associated with the Morrow Project, to where they built some space stations, 3 I think and from what I can guess, they might have a Moon base too.
Twilight: 2000 is more "alternate history," World War III breaks out between the USSR/USA, Warsaw Pact/NATO in 1996, there is al imited nuclear war in 1997 and your players are stuck in Poland in the year 2000 with the war still going on in low gear to where the general idea is to find a way back home or at least survive.

I had a blue 1985 Chevy Blazer. Got it when I was 15. Had it for 6 years, and it was the only car I ever had. I loved that thing. On the very day I was hired as a pizza boy, I wrecked it on the way home. Totaled. Heart broken. I currently don't have a car. I had to borrow my Mom's Cutlass Supreme for work. I was saving up for a new car, but now I'm unemployed.
That must be tough. I also have a 1977 Mercury Cougar, we bought it when it was new, still have it, would love to get it on the road again if things go my way.
