Your First Crush (Vanity)

And they called it Puppy Love………

Let’s have some fun and reflect upon our first crush(‘s). Who was the little school girl/boy who first made your heart all atwitter? What did you do to impress the object of your affection?

My first real crush was on a boy named T.J.. I even had a exclusive “T.J. diary” that I would write in daily, recording what he wore, if he smiled or acknowledged me for the day or where I could just practice writing my “new” name for after we got married.

One day during gym class I set out to impress T.J. by climbing to the top of this one stupid rope (why I thought that would impress him is beyond me) after struggling for what seemed like 20 minutes, I finally reached the top. Well after looking down the 80 feet (it was probably 15 – 20 feet, but just go with me here) I panicked about how I was going to get down. So I slid. In the process I burned all the skin off my hands, landing with bleeding, burning stumps. T.J. laughed and called me stupid. I don’t think there were any more diary entries after that.

Sigh…your stories……

My first crush was Mighty Mouse, which might explain why I'm still single!

I would be pretty worthless at something like this if the main topic was politics. It would be fun to put faces with screen names.

My first crush was a guy named Gary, in junior high. He finally gave me his bracelet and we went "steady". Didn't last long. He moved on to someone else after the Christmas dance. First love was in high school - Ralph. We were 15 and he lived down the street. Met my first husband through him, they were best friends. That relationship lasted 22 years (divorce).

main topic was politics

I'm not in every thread with you guys... but from the ones I've seen, politics will be WAY down the list of things we talk about.

My first crush - Katey Hinchy. She had goats. I liked goat cheese & goat milk. She liked when i helped her clean the stalls.

First crush with hormones; Jane Majkiewicz, 5th grade. I still remember how to spell her name correctly and I will remember her phone number by the time I get home. She was so cute, and had a cute little scar on her lip. Ends up she was my best friends girlfriend all through prep school. I never kissed her. :(

First crush was in first grade. His name was Chris. I still remember watching him when we would sing "Up On the Housetop". He wore a bulky gray jacket. I only remember how he looked like at all because of the class picture. I don't think he ever knew I had a crush on him. I remember hearing the teacher (whom I already detested) say, "Chris was ill and he died." I am assuming I overheard it, since that would be a cold way to tell the class.

That was Jane Krakowski. She is nowhere near as pretty nor smart as Jane Majkiewicz.
