And they called it Puppy Love
Lets have some fun and reflect upon our first crush(s). Who was the little school girl/boy who first made your heart all atwitter? What did you do to impress the object of your affection?
My first real crush was on a boy named T.J.. I even had a exclusive T.J. diary that I would write in daily, recording what he wore, if he smiled or acknowledged me for the day or where I could just practice writing my new name for after we got married.
One day during gym class I set out to impress T.J. by climbing to the top of this one stupid rope (why I thought that would impress him is beyond me) after struggling for what seemed like 20 minutes, I finally reached the top. Well after looking down the 80 feet (it was probably 15 20 feet, but just go with me here) I panicked about how I was going to get down. So I slid. In the process I burned all the skin off my hands, landing with bleeding, burning stumps. T.J. laughed and called me stupid. I dont think there were any more diary entries after that.
Sigh
your stories
Ping...
My first crush was in first grade. I guess she was actually my girlfriend because I gave her my American Airlines ring (back in the days when airlines gave stuff like that to kids). Maybe she didn't know she was my girlfriend.
You wanna know the sad part? Found out recently that she is a lesbian. Did I turn her to that???????
My first crush when my sexual hormones were active was this girl on my older brother's and sister's paper route. I was in 6th grade (I think) I think and was helping them collect payments (done door to door in those days). This hot looking high schooler came back to door. To this day they tease me about my comment when I came back to get on my bike..."she's pretty".
I was a very busy kid.
"Lance Somebody"
Armstrong?
Why am I not surprised? :^)
Donny Osmond. Seriously!
Yes. In hindsight, I suppose I should have stalked him more. Mighta gotten some moola out of the deal.
Her mother was a substitute teacher and when we were in 3rd grade I couldn't figure out how come her Mom was so homely and looked like Herman Munster from the neck down.
Marilyn Monroe.
I was just a spud and had only been weaned a little while and, well, you know............
I had a 4th grade crush on a girl named Julie. She could run faster than most boys so that kind of ruined things. Didn't want a girl that could outrun you, right???
Right there with you. Friday night, ABC, 7:00 for the Donny & Marie show. Couldn't pry me away from the television!
There was never any doubt about my "tendencies".
Second grade: my love was Michael Alvarado.
Marcy Collins. Literally, the girl next door when I was in early grade school. :^)
The second base "girl" on my Little League team. She was cute, and she could hit as well. And no, she wasn't a butch "Peppermint Patty" type either.
Robbie Bird. 4-5 years old.
We played house, I made him 'chocolate milk' with dirt and water... and he drank it :~D
My first crush was David Berry. We were 5 years old. He was so very funny and he worked hard to entertain me and make me laugh. As a young father of two boys, he was killed in a car accident and buried months before I found out. I do not have closer on his death, and I miss him terribly to this day.
My first real love at the age of 16 was Van. He drove a souped-up Plymouth, wore white Tshirts, jeans and loafers, was your bonafide red neck. We used to drive through the Varsity...he'd let his Plymouth "loop" in first gear with a low muffler growl. His car was the fastest in town. I was head over heels in love with this guy. He broke my heart.
I didn't recover until I met my husband. He is my true love.
