Last week there was some controversy about an article I wrote being used by Hannity and Colmes without attribution.
Miamivice posted " Hannity Uses Freeper Article" or something like that.
Many freepers asked how did Miamivice know for certain that Hannity and Colmes did not think of this on their own. Many of you mistakenly said it was public knowledge.
Just wanted to let everyone know that I just spoke with Prof. Stone at LSU who was interviewed by Fox and he told me that it was my article that initiated Fox's interest.
In fact he sent me the follwoing email: " Mike, your article fueled an international response to the flood protection scheme that never took place for New Orleans."
I intend on working with Prof. Stone to do a follow up about this issue. The idea is to get the government to execute the orginal plans without being undul concerned about environmental lawsuits.
Freepers stay tuned this may be interesting.
Awesome! Do you have a link to the original article and thread?
Why does Hannity hang up on any caller when the mention Free Republic?

Their documentary didn't say a word about this derailed project, but did include a Bush Basher, complaining about Bush not funding Corps of Engineering projects.
It will be interesting to see if I get a response.
I did see Hannity's program with the Save Our Wetlands director squirming but never admitting the old project would have saved N.O.
I was totally convinced Sean or his staff got the story while monitoring Free Republic.
-Good Work!-
Do you know of anyone from the C.O.E. that has been questioned or has commented on the old plan?
I'm staying tuned.
Hold out for a copy of his book and some Ruth's Chris gift certificates.
Because his name is Sean "Hollywoood" Hannity.
Sadly, they aren't alone in using information without attribution. The online news sites, bloggers, and television/radio personalities all cull information and ideas from Free Republic.
Some of them like Rush are secure and kind enough to mention Free Republic occasionally, and don't get all caught up in the pettiness and politics of the Internet.
The Hannitys of the world, aren't as clever or professional.
"Hollywood Vannity" Hannity.
I have been to many Hannity book signings and have observed that if you mention you are a Freeper Hannity goes out of his way to thank the Freepers.
Exactly. He is someone who has to hold "book signings" to promote his product (himself). Only an fool would not be pleasant face-to-face when someone is plunking down their hard-earned cash for the chance to buy their latest words of wisdom.
Here you get them @ no charge.
We had a period when DU encouraged all to call conservative talk shows as someone from Free Republic; I heard a couple of the jerks, they get on and spout curses and slander. Some had posted to us that do the threads that they knew what was going on so we cooled off calling for those few days. They didn't want to accept the calls in case they got more DU imposters.
In this case you're wrong. He is a freeper, as well as others on talk radio, at Fox and other MSM plants you would be surprised by. I posted pictures of Sean with the freepers on different occasions as well when this started.
A freeper called in and got hung up on and naturally was upset. He posted that Hannity hated freepers, one thing led to another... Others mailed him to tell him he was wrong. He was ready to leave FR over it (which had nothing to do with it). Can't be thin-skinned here. You have a problem with Hannity, email him... I do.
Thanks for the kind words.
I doubt if the History Channel will reply. If you can learn the name of the producer of the piece and email him/her you will probably get a response.
Shame conservatives should promote each other.
The liberals always have and it works for them.
As a matter of fact the Corps was in the process of revamping the plan to incorporate environmental concerns when Katrina occurred. Al Naomi of the New Orleans District of the Army Corps of Engineers is the project manager for this.
The NOACE magazine did an article about this as well.
Hannity isn't a Freeper, he makes no secret of it, and only takes pictures with FReepers because he's too embarrassed to say no.
I have no desire to email him to voice my criticism, chances are most of the email he gets goes in the trash anyway.
Hannity has bashed freepers for a couple of years, even to the point they ran polls about it. He's a fair weather freeper when it helps his pocketbook.
Kudos to you sir!
