Renee Zellweger & Kenny Chesney Split
Entertainment Tonight ^

Posted on 09/15/2005 3:17:44 PM PDT by TightyRighty

ET has confirmed that RENEE ZELLWEGER and country crooner KENNY CHESNEY have filed to anull their marriage of just over 4 months.

The two tied the knot in a surprise ceremony back in May on the beautiful island of St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands, where the singer has a home. In a short, 15-minute ceremony performed by a female preacher in front of a small group of family and friends, the bride wore CAROLINA HERRERA, one of her favorite designers, while the groom was reportedly barefoot.

The two met at the Concert of Hope tsunami relief effort last January 15 and maintained a quiet friendship that quickly blossomed. Fans first learned of their romance when Renee reportedly brought a margarita up on stage to Kenny during his show in Jacksonville, FL.

This was the first marriage for both stars, although the 37-year-old Kenny reportedly broke off an engagement to another woman in 1999, three weeks before the wedding. Prior to marrying Kenny, Renee dated WHITE STRIPES singer JACK WHITE and her 'Me, Myself & Irene' co-star JIM CARREY.

A friend of my husband had that done. It actually looked pretty good. Years ago it usually looked obvious and tacky. Personally I don't think receding hair or baldness is unattractive (in a man that is lol).

What does it mean when you claim "fraud"? Fox News said that they are going to ask for an annulment. That's usually because someone misrepresented him (her)self and was impotent, not really interested in having children, was substance-addicted and didn't tell the partner, etc. I assume that this wasn't financially-based as surely these people didn't marry without a pre-nup.

But if SHE is doing the separating, I wonder what HIS fraud.....

Heck, I didn't even send them one silver place setting.

Glad I never got around to it.

I admit to being pretty picky, but still, I always found that woman extraordinarily hard to look at.

I wonder the same thing about golfers. Every time most of them takes their hat off at the 18th green, you see a bald head.

Is there a connection between hair loss and hats? I know my dad was getting a bald spot on he back of his head from his helmet back in his pilot days. When he stopped flying the bald spot stopped growing.

Zellweger filed the papers Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing "fraud" as the reason for the split. The actress's petition also asks the court not to award spousal support to Chesney..."
