Posted on 09/14/2005 3:09:59 PM PDT by Restore

Moments ago at the Santa Monica / UCLA hospital, Brittany Spears just gave birth to... a child, I think.

If you care about this sort of thing, you heard it here first on FR.

POP singer Britney Spears gave birth to a baby boy at a Los Angeles hospital today, Us Weekly magazine reported on its website.
Representatives for Spears were not immediately available for comment on the report, which said the 23-year-old entertainer gave birth by caesarean section shortly before 1pm (3am AEST) at Santa Monica UCLA Medical Centre.

Hospital officials declined to comment.

Guess she won't be wearing her low riders too low anymore. Hope she doesn't have any stretch marks.

Well yes, i'm proud to say, just as soon as i saw the news here on FR i went right into her room and told her. She said "isn't it too early?". I'm not sure how many months Britneys been married. Has it been 9 months?

To avoid the pain of natural birth? If someone needs a C-section, I would never shame them. But, to choose a C-section because it might hurt? What an airhead. The recovery for a c-section is supposed to be much more painful than natural childbirth. That's what those I know who have had C-sections have told me.

You said, what I was thinking...many women have to have caesarian births for many reasons...but to avoid pain?....granted it is very painful, most women women do experience incredible pain while in labor and delivery....

But nowdays, dont they have epidurals, which block a lot of the pain?...I had both my boys more than 30yrs ago, and did not have a thing for pain....it hurt, sure, but it was manageable..

When I had my first baby, a gal across the hall from me,(from what I understood from the hospital gossip gravevine), was like this...she screamed and screamed and screamed, even in early labor, and refused to cooperate in any way with the docs and the nurses, and finally they gave her a Caesarian....then after she had the Caesarian, all she did was complain about how much pain she was in, recovering from the surgery...

Having a vaginal birth, to me is much easier...you have to endure the pain during labor and delivery, but once the baby is born, the pain is completely gone, and you have a wonderful little babe, and very little recovery time...

To each his own I guess...

Many of the Hollywood elites have c-sections to deliver the baby early and avoid the last few weeks of pregnancy to stave off the really bad stretch marks. Then they get plastic surgery on the scar. Something the average (regular, normal) woman can't do because insurance doesn't cover it.

Yeah, I instantly felt sorry for the baby...to have this person as his mother and that is how her brain works? Pretty stupid.

The mother is pretty bad, but I really feel sorry for the child after seeing a picture of its father.

Maybe they'll straighten out.....kids can do that.
