Moments ago at the Santa Monica / UCLA hospital, Brittany Spears just gave birth to... a child, I think.
If you care about this sort of thing, you heard it here first on FR.

Who's Britain Spears?
English, I presume. Bad teeth, pasty complexion and all?
OK, OK, I just had to ask.

Oh come on! Some of us get a big thrill outta being able to tell this kind of news to our daughters before they have the chance to hear about it on the E! channel.

From Reuters (in part) ...said the 23-year-old entertainer gave birth by Caesarean section shortly before 1 p.m. PDT (1700 GMT)
said Spears was taken to the hospital early on Wednesday morning with a police escort and accompanied by her husband, dancer Kevin Federline.
Spears had been previously reported as saying she planned to have the baby by Caesarean section to avoid the pain of a natural birth.
So this was a planned caesarean...why the need of a police escort? What trash filled w/ego.

Male, Preston Michael (or something like that), by C-section. At least she didn't give him a loopy Madonna name.

I can see how that would be a real coup to scoop your teenage daughters on news like this. I have a thing about that with my husband; I love being able to scoop him on big news events. I scooped him on the name of the new pope, and it was great! Let me know if you were able to be the first to give her the way cool news.
