Unless the Lord has commanded it?" -- Lamentations 3:37
I would like to join my FRiends at Free Republic in congratulating the newest married couple to have been brought together as a result of their conversations on Free Republic.
CaRepubGal and Wrigley became Mr. and Mrs. Wrigley on August 19, 2005, in the Presbyterian Church of CaGal's hometown near San Diego, California. The wedding was attended by many family and friends, including the former FReeper, Jean Chauvin, and his wife and children, who traveled across the country to participate in the ceremony. The couple became engaged last Christmas and are planning on making their new home in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Let no one say God is not without a sense of irony. One of the main reasons bringing CaGal and Wrigley together was the fact that they were both banned from Free Republic. If they hadn't been banished, most likely they wouldn't have struck up a private conversation which led directly to their union. Obviously CaGal and Wrigley were meant to become one.
"Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be like-minded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:
That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God." -- Romans 15:5-7
Please join us in congratulating CaGal and Wrigley and wishing them a long and bountiful life together as loving servants of His gracious will.
I'm hoping the "script" has you taking this tired argument somewhere else very soon.
LOL! What a mental picture!
Sadly, in some cases, that might be an improvement.....
Congrats to the happy couple! May the wind always be at your back, may the road rise up to meet you, and may you be in Heaven an hour before the devil knows you've died...Which hopefully won't be for a good, long, wonderful time!
An acknowledgement!
I knew I could count on you.
Ever wonder why you are not invited to very many "social" events???
Congratulations to the happy couple! May He continue to richly bless them in their marriage!
There's little doubt about that.
LOL! (gets out napkin to wipe coffee off the monitor)
That might set up even more marriages... :)
Troll Wedding? :D
***Check your freepmail.***
It is always amazing to me that the Lord works beautiful things even in the midst of persecution. It appears to me that a pair of banned posters have moved on with their lives and, judging from your freepmail, you are still locked in the bitterness of the past.
Let it go. Wish them well.
Do you think their union wasn't scripted by God?
Was your marriage scripted by God?
Pastor, when you marry couples in your church, do you say to them, "God has brought you together in matrimony?"
Not so, DrE. You were the one who gave credit to FR.
I'm the one who said you should be crediting God.
:>)

Which goes without saying, was ordained by God.
Congratulations and God's blessing to the happy couple.
You pronounce them married, x. God marries them.
JR brought them together, as God willed.
What's so difficult about this for you?
Was your marriage scripted by God?
By all means, let's not credit the prime ordaining mover and shaker. We'll leave HIS name out of the credits when they roll.
I did give credit to God, E.
Someone else I know did not.
:>)
I think we shouldn't disturb xzins when he's giving all the credit to God. It's good practice for him. 8~)
Ohfercryinoutloud! Enough! God ordained it, and used FR as a tool to make it happen. Satisfied?
Enough nit-picking. That's all you're doing. You know what happens to annoying little fruit flies?
Jeremiah got it right, X.
