Unless the Lord has commanded it?" -- Lamentations 3:37
I would like to join my FRiends at Free Republic in congratulating the newest married couple to have been brought together as a result of their conversations on Free Republic.
CaRepubGal and Wrigley became Mr. and Mrs. Wrigley on August 19, 2005, in the Presbyterian Church of CaGal's hometown near San Diego, California. The wedding was attended by many family and friends, including the former FReeper, Jean Chauvin, and his wife and children, who traveled across the country to participate in the ceremony. The couple became engaged last Christmas and are planning on making their new home in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Let no one say God is not without a sense of irony. One of the main reasons bringing CaGal and Wrigley together was the fact that they were both banned from Free Republic. If they hadn't been banished, most likely they wouldn't have struck up a private conversation which led directly to their union. Obviously CaGal and Wrigley were meant to become one.
"Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be like-minded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:
That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God." -- Romans 15:5-7
Please join us in congratulating CaGal and Wrigley and wishing them a long and bountiful life together as loving servants of His gracious will.
***You kicked against, and railed (and continue to do so) against what you should have been saying was "the plan."***
How utterly ignorant. By this logic, the Armerican Revolution, that pesky Calvinist Presbyterian revolt, should have never happened.
Grace, mercy and peace to you from God our father and Jesus Christ our Lord.
May God continue to use you both as a means to fight the good fight against the insipid and the sophists.
Tell me she didn't marry a Cubs fan. Talk about taking on a lost cause.
May the Lord bless and keep them anyway. He is surely able to overcome the strain of the lost cause Cubbies on a marriage. ;^)
Ridiculous.
It couldn't have helped having happened if it were scripted.
Get on board or buy a ticket...something.
CC&E
When is the honeymoon thread?
Praise God for always working everthing together for the good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose!
But for those who are wondering, the bride explains her banning here.
????
***Get on board or buy a ticket...something.***
Oh, it is the idea that we should not fight against something because the Lord has ordained it to be so. And that is an utterly ignorant thing to assert. Now I know that the non-Calvinist never considers such things because in their mind God is as much a victim of evil in the world as everyone else. Nevertheless, it is ignorant to assert.
Proverbs chapter 26 :28 You have to hate someone to want to hurt him with lies. Insincere talk brings nothing but ruin.
Proverbs chapter 25 :9 If you and your neighbor have a difference of opinion, settle it between yourselves and do not reveal any secrets. 10 Otherwise everyone will learn that you can't keep a secret, and you will never live down the shame.
Proverbs chapter 20:19 A gossip can never keep a secret. Stay away from people who talk too much.
That would have been a good reference for the bride now wouldn't it? I said nothing to provoke her and didn't even find her post on that other site until some time later.
She got banned here for vulgarity.
Guess you're not gonna buy a ticket.
Script = Script
You could hold your breath until you're blue and it wouldn't change the script.
You could have at least wished them well and given thanks to God even if you don't like the bride personally.
So, it's Bad joe's fault?
If you tell LesbianThespianGymnasticMidget where the incompleteness is, I'm sure it will be remedied! ;-P
Thanks for the good news. Banished together. At least they have that going for them which is more than most have in common today.
Check your freepmail. I've said enough on this thread and I'll leave it there.
