How would a President Kerry have handled the Katrina disaster?
Free Republic | 1 September 2005 | COBOL2Java

Since the liberals are out there carping on Bush's handling of Hurricane Katrina's devastation, I was wondering how a President Kerry would have handled things. Would he donate the use of his 10-speed for relief efforts? Would First Lady Ta-Ray-Zuh whip up a batch of gin-soaked raisins to hand out to weary New Orleans residents?

How would he handle the gasoline price escalation? We had all wondered how a President Gore would have handled 9/11; now it's time to ponder this disaster. Any ideas?

He would have talked and talked and talked until somebody else did something just to shut him up.

First thing that comes to mind is that they would just let everyone go naked.

He was a slow boat commander in Vietnam (did you know that?), he'd know when to retreat.

He and the LA governor would get together for a good cry. Then they'd move to the back with the rest of the women and children.

Presumably we would still be in Iraq. I'm sure Cindy Sheehan would be camped out in front of the Martha's Vineyard presidential compound! </sarcasm off>

He'd have shown up and thrown someone else's war medals over the levee in protest.

He'd have gotten together his "band of brothers" for a sentimental last trip upriver, then waded ashore at the French Quarter like General MacArthur returning to the Philippines.

Is this a real photo of JK?

I always hated folk singers. Actually I first mistyped folk singer as "fold singer" which is apt for John Kerry Heinz.

One of my favorite bumper sticker's: "Use A Folk Guitar, Go To Jail"
