Top Five Cartoon Crushes (Vanity)
Posted on 09/01/2005 7:00:11 AM PDT by MadMaxCutlass
As young boys we develop crushes on anything - teachers, movie stars and yes, even cartoon characters. Who did you have a crush on growing up?
(P.S. The animators drew them that way for a reason, fellers!)

The cartoon version of the great Ginger or Mary Ann debate but quite frankly I never knew of anyone who would pick Betty. Well, maybe pissant.

Velma from Scoobie Doo; not as cute as Danger-prone Daphnie, but more fun on a date (at least for a bibliophile...).
If Japanese Animation is a legal source, then all sorts of babes are available... I always liked Ryoko.

Tex Avery's "Red Hot Riding Hood" / "Swing Shift Cinderella"

Jessica Rabbit
What can I say, I have a thing for redheads!
I'm also a fan of the cartoon babes that the artist "Coop" draws.
I don't want to get in trouble by posting that stuff here, but maybe I can find a PG-rated one.

1. Melody (from Josie & the Pussycats)
2. Sounds strange to say, but yeah, Ariel (Little Mermaid) was hot.
3. Firestar (from Spider-Man & His Amazing Friends)
4. Cherry Poptart
5. Jessica Rabbit (duh).

Can anybody here remember Stupefyin' Jones?

Julie Newmar played her on stage...which was only right.

Ah, the Scarlet Witch. :o)
I wasn't sure whether to discuss actual TV cartoon characters, or comic characters. Even in my 20s, McFarlane's drawn version of Mary Jane Watson-Parker would send me into hyperventilating convulsions. ;o)

The one and only Faye Valentine.......

Everyone else is just playing Let's Pretend.
And of course, the Major (see above, ...left)

I'm sure we could come up with quite a few Japanese anime characters, but posting them would get us banned pretty darn quick. ;o)
