Damn, y'all are jijacking a thread And I'm missing out. I love a good hijacked thread, but Emergency was just too cool for me as a kid to do that to.

I'm still waiting for:
Season Two of Kojak
Seasons One and Two of Welcome Back Kotter (before that blonde guy replaced Barbarino)
Season One of The Streets of San Francisco
I can live without any DVD release of Making It or Family.

Holy cow! Only three channels to choose from??? How could you people live like that???
I think there was actually more worth watching on three channels in those days, than there is on 200+ channels of DirecTV today.

Was American life really that dull in the early 70s that people stayed in on Saturday night?

Was American life really that dull in the early 70s that people stayed in on Saturday night?I didn't have much choice in the matter as I was 10 years old in 1974. Unlike liberal parents these days, my mother didn't allow me or my younger brother to hang out at the mall causing trouble at that age.

Was American life really that dull in the early 70s that people stayed in on Saturday night? The 70s: Disco, ugly clothes, ugly fashions, long haired creeps, liberalism on the rise. Cant blame people for staying on on a Saturday night.
Only a handful of good things came out of the 70s.
Rock groups KISS, The Ramones, tv shows like Emergency!, The Brady Bunch...
To: lowbridge
The Ramones are the greatest rock and roll band. Ever.
My dad told me that he would catch All in the Family and then head out on a date. After he married my mom in '72 he was stuck at home, however.

"good morning (Mr. Phelps/ Briggs/ Ms. Carter).".....
I have a lot of episodes on tape, including ALL of the Columbia house releases from a few years ago.
