These stunning cities of the past stand as clues to a mystery thousands of years old. While Europe was in the dark ages, it was the Maya who harnessed the knowledge of the stars, and the celestial movements, to create a mystical union of man, nature and the gods. It was a world of great kings, elaborate ceremonies, fierce battles, and even human sacrifice.
18 Survivors will be marooned within this mysterious and rugged terrain.
For the first time, the castaways will actually live within the ruins of a vanished civilization, and they will be forced to embrace the ancient Maya lifestyle.

LOL, the original book isn't like the Stallone sequels at all. He writes all kinds of books--thrillers, horror, westerns. "First Blood" was his first novel, published in 1972. He's worth checking out.
I will. :) I love to read. I even read the cereal box when I'm eating breakfast. My oldest has received my love for books. She's in 4th and they have elevated her to 9th grade reading level. Hard to find books on a 9th grade level that are appropriate for the maturity level of a naive 4th grader though. We tried today. I suggested the Chronicles of Narnia books because I love them, but it was 6th grade and the teachers will not test her below 8.0. I need to ask some freepers for suggestions. I think she could do the Hobbit but not sure how she will do with the scarier parts.
Good night jonny. Going to bed. Thanks for the cyberchat.
I have been on Rush's show twice! Couldn't believe I got thru each time.
I have been on Rush's show twice.....Wow! How did you get through? I've tried twice before and couldn't get through. It's fun though, talking to him and listening in on the line.
That's right! He's from Birmingham, where i am now but I couldn't remember the name. Thanks.
Praise the Lord and pass the potatoes, Jaime is GONE! WooHoo! Paranoia will destroy ya.
Nobody was happier than I last night. Now, if they will just get rid of Judd, I will be ecstatic.
Yeah, I was wondering when Gary was going to pull the trigger on that little tidbit of information. Ooh, this is getting good!
Redial!!! I was at home both times and just got riled up about the topic and called and hit redial over and over. I tried to time the dialing with the ending of the call currently talking to Rush --trying to grab the open line.
It was incredible! People who know me from all over called or emailed and asked if that was me on the radio...I wish I could call more often but that darn job gets in the way.

With Jamie gone, it looks like Rafe and Gary have a good chance of winning some upcoming immunuties. I think the fact that Rafe won immunity gave him the confidence to change up the game. He and Gary and Danni could easily sway Lydia and Cindy to get rid of Judd and the manipulator StepheME next. Lydia is starting to remind me of the Hispanic lady who won the million when Rupert was on Survivor. She did not win any immunities, just went along with anyone who wanted her vote. Lydia has not only not won any immunities, she has done poorly and caused some losses. But because she is loyal and will vote with the group they have kept her. I guess that's one way to stay in the game.
They have not had any mental challenges this time around yet, like quizzing them on the Mayans. That would be interesting.

Good morning all! Its Monday morning so that means its time for your:
The Xhakum Tribe: (Red buffs)
Cindy, Danni, Gary, Judd, Lydia, Rafe, StepheME
The Jury:
Bobby Jon, Jamie
The Losers:
Jim, Morgan, Brianna, Brooke, Blake, Margaret, Brian, Amy, Brandon
The show opens with the tribe returning from Tribal Council. Everyone is congratulating Gary for finding the mini-Idol. Everyone that is except for Jamie, whos paranoia meter is pegged. He first tries to get Cindy mad at Gary because he cast a vote for her, and when that doesnt work, picks a fight with Gary himself. Judd sums up the tribes feelings with a simple Hes losing it.
The next day the tribe is called to the Reward Challenge. Jiff explains the rules: Divide into two teams of two women and two men. Each male or female pair is connected by a rope and must race through a mud-pit obstacle course. At the end of the course are clay pots filled with corn. Each team must slog back through the mud to the starting line with the pot of corn and use it to fill a larger pot. The first team to fill the larger pot wins. The reward is a helicopter ride to a beautiful estate where they will shower, have their clothes cleaned, spend the night and wake to a Folgers coffee banquet. (They dont even try to hide the product plugs anymore!) Jeff says go and both teams struggle to get through the thick mud. Lydia however only falls further and further behind, as the team of Danni, Judd, Gary and StepheME wins the reward. Moments later, while still covered in mud and muck, the four are loaded onboard the helicopter for their reward. Jamie, Rafe, Cindy and Lydia meanwhile head back to camp.
During the helicopter ride, the four enjoy the flight over the jungle canopy. Upon arriving at the estate, they are greeted by Louie, the owner, who directs them to the swimming pool and outdoor showers. Judd surprises everyone by stripping naked while showering and swimming in the pool. Later, the four stuff themselves on food and champagne, while Gary makes his pitch for the Four strongest players going on to the final four. While, StepheME agrees that his argument has merit, she also comments "I've got a good thing going, so it's kind of iffy."
The next morning, the four awake to the smell of a variety of Folgers flavored brewed coffees. Folgers must have paid big time for such a product plug! While enjoying the caffeine high, Louie delivers a package of videotapes from home, one for each of them. They all enjoy a good cry while viewing their tapes with Gary summing up the sentiment with "It was the best Reward prize that we possibly could have had."
As Danni, Gary, Judd and StepheME arrived back at camp, Judd snipes, "Back to the hellhole." The four present a gift to the reward losers in the form of a basket of coffee. Later, Jamie asks Judd of they had talked about strategy during their reward, but Judd lies and says Not even a peep. See how easily those lies just roll off the tongue? Its all part of the game.
The tribe is called to the Immunity Challenge. Jeff explains the rules: Hooked to a rope, each player must travel through an obstacle course. The first four to cross the first finish line will compete in the second part for immunity. Jeff says go, and before you can comment about Danni and Judd falling behind, Jamie, Rafe, StepheME and Cindy win the first round. Jeff again says go and Rafe quickly leaves the rest in the dust to win the second round and the Ugly Idol.
Back at camp, Jamies paranoia becomes a huge pain for the rest of the survivors. Rafe tries to convince StepheME and Lydia to switch their votes and boot Jamie.
At Tribal Council, after the typical banal chit chat, Jamie gets the boot in a lopsided 6 to 2 vote. As Jeff snuffs his torch, Jamie turns to the rest and exclaims "Blindsided! Nice. Now that's how you vote somebody out!"
As usual, here are the comments made during voting and Jamies final comments.
Jamie (votes Gary): Its easier to judge somebody than to understand them. I hated it when you judged me with Brandon, thinking he was a better person than me. I want you to know that I forgive you and know that we can be friends someday. Its either you or me tonight, buddy. Take care.
Cindy (votes Jamie): Id like to say your moms a lucky lady, shes got a son like you. With your twin brother, if hes anything like you, shes double lucky. Hope you get to see her soon and see her more often.
Judd (votes Gary): Thanks for sharing this experience with me, buddy. I mean, I gotta let you go I dont want to but Ive got to save my own ass, buddy. Thanks for everything - God bless ya.
Lydia (votes Jamie): Wow, what an awesome young man you are. Youve been a loyal friend, companion and protector since Day 1 in this game for me. Tonights a difficult night for me to do this. I just hope you realize that I cherish every moment that we spent together. In my eyes and my heart, youre a champion. Ill see ya on the outside.
Gary (votes Jamie): You helped me out with your quick tongue, but I still think youve got a big heart and Id want you on my team any day of the year.
Danni (votes Jamie): Sorry once again, you old peckerhead, but since you didnt get immunity, it makes you an easy target.
Rafe (votes Jamie): You asked me when I voted you out, to blindside you and to say a mean comment. Well, yes, youre getting blindsided but Im not going to take you up on the mean comment. I think youre a great guy and I think you let this game kind of take you away from who you really are. I hope were friends when this is all over.
StepheME (votes Jamie): This is a really difficult vote for me. Im sorry I have to vote for you but you kinda dug your own grave. Youve been talking way too much and telling way too many lies and I just cant trust an alliance with you. So Im sorry but its time for you to go.
Jamies Final Words
I could tell, today, that everybody was lyin. Ive got a sixth sense for it. So I kind of knew I was goin out. Im not too mad about Stephanie because she is a liar she always has been, since Palau. But Rafe gave me his word as a man, so I dont think a million dollars is worth losing that. And it really hurts that Lydia voted against me because I took her so far and took care of her so much and lost challenges with her. Its going to be hard for me to forgive her for that. But all in all, ya know, people are funny and guess I trusted the wrong people. But thats how the game plays and the jungle does crazy things to you.
Im just goin to appreciate things more. This whole time I was out here, I missed my twin brother really a ton. Im goin to appreciate the little things. I made it almost 4 weeks out here - I wanted to make it a month. In a way Im disappointed because I wanted to go further but Im just going to take you know, honesty is a huge thing and I dont think I ever want to lie anymore, no matter what it comes down to.
Yeah, I would have worked a little harder today to get rid of Steph. I thought about it - allyin with Gary and changin it around but what can you do. I wanted to get further than her in the game. But there was a time when we knew we couldnt trust each other and it messed us up. But I think what hurts me the most is I asked Lydia today. As much as I warned Lydia about the times she was in trouble, she couldnt tell me I was in trouble. Even though I knew she was lyin to me. It hurts when you see good people go bad and its going to be the hardest for me to forgive her. It seems to me she bit the hand that fed her.
Well there you have it, 11 down, and 5 more to go before we get to our final two.
Have a great day, & Ill be back Wednesday with my Weekly Picks. (Don't worry, Survivor will still be on Thursday night, but I'll be too busy helping the Mrs with the Turkey Day preprations to post my Weekly Picks thursday morning.)
Take care,
FReepmail me if you want added to, or removed from the one, the only, Official Survivor Ping List.
Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean your torch ain't getting snuffed.
Just caught the ep, go Gary!
As for Lydia, you are a worthless hanger-on who has done nothing to justify being in this game past week 1, get rid of that dead Lydia.
"Cindy (votes Jamie): Id like to say your moms a lucky lady, shes got a son like you. With your twin brother, if hes anything like you, shes double lucky. Hope you get to see her soon and see her more often."

WOW! What a class act that Cindy is! SeeBS must have selected her by mistake.

Good Morning FReepers and FReeperettes! Since Ill be busy helping the Mrs with tomorrows preparations, here it is one day early.
The Xhakum Tribe: (red buffs)
Cindy, Danni, Gary, Judd, Lydia, Rafe, StepheME
The Jury:
Bobby Jon, Jamie
The Losers:
Jim, Morgan, Brianna, Brooke, Blake, Margaret, Brian, Amy, Brandon
Lets get to it shall we.
Tomorrows episode is titled "Everything is Personal"
From the official SeeBS website:
One Survivor's attempt to forge an alliance is overheard by a lurking tribemate. Either Gary or Danni tries to mix things up and is overheard by probably Lydia.
A castaway is livid after a tribemate targets her for elimination in a Reward Challenge, which leads to an eruption back at camp. The reward challenge is the typical Q&A with correct answers permitting you to smash anothers clay pot. This sounds like StepheME is ticked off that someone in her Axis of Evil alliance eliminated her, preventing her from enjoying a Reward.
Paranoia fills the air, leading one Survivor to declare, "Everyone is lying, even the people you'd least expect! This sounds like something Rafe would say. Right up there with his Axis of Evil title for StepheMEs alliance.
Tribal Council is full of surprises when one Survivor takes advantage of the group setting to call out a tribemate. How will this influence the vote? I think this is where Gary informs the rest that Judd lied about the Mini-Idol. Will this influence the vote? Some, but not enough to save Gary from becoming the third member of the Jury.
The Reward Challenge appears to be the typical Q & A type challenge. Correct answers permit you to smash anothers clay pot(s). The last player with a pot still intact wins reward. Im guessing Cindy wins this Challenge.
Regarding the Immunity Challenge, vidcaps show us a race to collect flags. There are also various huts scattered about the race course, so this might be a rehash of the old Jeff tells a story about someone in history, and the players must correctly answer questions to get the flag from that particular station. It also appears as if Rafe wins this challenge and the Ugly Necklace yet again.
Well, there you have it:
Reward Challenge Winner: Cindy
Immunity Challenge Winner: Rafe
Tribal Council Bootee(s): Gary Sorry folks. I hope Im wrong, but he has been in StepheMEs cross-hairs far too long.
Take care,
FReepmail me if you want added to, or removed from the one, the only, Official Survivor Ping List.
Thanks, cuz.
I still think Stepheme is hot.
Since it is now 4-3 female v. male..isn't it aabout time for the obligatory "XX chromosome alliance" proposal...?
