WELCOME EVERYONE
This week we are going to Watkins Glen International Raceway in New York. Please join us for a full weekend of racing.
Watkins Glen International continues a road-racing tradition that dates back to 1948 -- when sports cars competed on the streets of the village at the southern tip of scenic Lake Seneca. The circuit, which at one time hosted the F1 United States Grand Prix, has grown to become one of the most respected facilities in the northeast.

3.1 had net access - I used Netscape. I dumped 95 because there was no USB support. XP administratorship allows me to keep the kids from destroying what I've set up. Haven't had a hitch with it... It's big, but hardware is nearly free these days.

Some news on Coo Coo Marlin from the
NASCAR.com story on Pruett sub-subbing in the 40 -
"We talked to Sterling about an hour ago and his dad has stabilized," Ganassi Racing team manager Andy Graves said early Saturday afternoon. "He's not getting any worse but he's not getting any better either, so we're still in a holding pattern there to see how Coo Coo is doing. "At this point in time, it doesn't look like Sterling is coming back, so with qualifying getting rained out and the 39 car going home, we'll put Scott Pruett in the 40 car."

I changed to 95 before TCP/IP Net access became big.
Up until I started getting failing hardware (first a hard drive and now it seems a power supply), I liked XP.

You could've settled for 95SR2 for very limited USB support, or tried to find the very-limited 95SR2.5 for better USB support.
Of course, by then, everybody was abandoning 95 altogether.

Glock, you listening to the MRN coverage of the truck race? They just had a commercial for "adopt-a-duck".

LOL. And here I am muddling with an Athlon 2600+ (the oldest model that runs at the highest clock speed) and a now-ancient GeForce 4600Ti video card, and a truly-ancient SoundBlaster Audigy.

You have to unplug from the phone line when a storm is coming. What's the point of a surge protector if you have to unplug at the first sign of a storm anyway? This last storm I had no warnings about. Just one distant clap of thunder and the damage was done, despite being plugged into a surge protector.
To: Mr. Mulliner
Ouch. Time to file a claim on the maker of that surge protector (and say who it was so we can avoid them).

500.
I also enjoyed Happy in the booth, as well as anytime they have a driver to offer new perspective. Score one for NBC coverage.
