This week we are going to Watkins Glen International Raceway in New York. Please join us for a full weekend of racing.
Watkins Glen International continues a road-racing tradition that dates back to 1948 -- when sports cars competed on the streets of the village at the southern tip of scenic Lake Seneca. The circuit, which at one time hosted the F1 United States Grand Prix, has grown to become one of the most respected facilities in the northeast.
This is an impound race, all practice is on Friday, qualifying on Saturday (unless they change their mind) FRFL picks must be made by Saturday morning 2am pacific time. I will update the practice times as we get closer to Friday as well as adding the qualifying lineup etc.
Rain's headed out of the area, and they're hopeful.
I think my problem's a slowly-dying power supply. Looks like I'm shopping this weekend.
The weather glock doesn't look so good.
If it looks good I will hang around, otherwise I'm going to the store.
They're rolling the track dryers, but I don't know if they'll get the track dry before the next cell rolls in.
MRN is taking a 20-minute break; they'll be back at 1:45 pm Eastern.

Next question; with Sterling Marlin in Tennessee to be with his dad, will Ganassi continue to keep David Stremme in the 40 (which made the race) or move Scott Pruett over from the rained-out 39?
Check that lineup (I knew I shouldn't have simply copied from NASCAR.com); due to more attempts, the #27 of Tom Hubert will start 42nd, with the #1 of Paul Menard dropping to 43rd.
Now we wait and see if they can get the Busch race in.
Or do we lose Pruett? Remember the 40 is open this weekend with Sterling Marlin back in Tennessee looking after his dad, and I doubt that Ganassi will continue to run Stremme now that he has a free ringer (who just so happened to win the Rolex race on Friday).
They're in rain-delay mode on MRN (they'll have an update at 2:30 Eastern).
Make that 4th; I confused my memory of him leading hte middle stages of the race.
199th Army Band (NY National Guard) with the Anthem.
If you're not here, you've just missed a good National Anthem like MRN. The cars remain covered though.
Those showers are just freight-training through Watkins Glen. Why didn't htey bring the rain gear they brought to Mexico City?
Breaking NASCAR news - Scott Pruett will move to the #40 for tomorrow.
Looks like Pruett will drive the #40. Doea Yahoo let you pick him then?
And, Tony Jr will stay with Mikey through the end of this season.
Yep. They go by who starts the race, not whose team starts the race.
Rain's stopped temporarily.
