Very tasty pieces of a cardboard like substance (more or less so depending upon age).
My late uncle used to go on these marathon fishing trips in northern Ontario. He would bring various supplies with him, but sometimes he had to buy certain products while he was in Canada. When he died, I found some of those things -- I could tell they came from Canada -- the labels were in English and French...although I understand that certain border states (New York, for example) also carried products labeled in both languages. These products had been bilingual for years.
I don't have resentment for Spanish per se...like most of the "Romance" languages it flows very nicely and I love that flow. But I agree that with the proliferation of products in Spanish, it sounds to me like some companies are trying to court the immigrants by printing in Spanish, and I think there will come a time when we will all have to be bilingual. I don't mind learning more than one language voluntarily -- I can mangle some French and Italian -- but I do resent any efforts to force us into bilingualism for the sole purpose of making learning the English language for immigrants an option, rather than a requirement.
I have visited Italy a few times...beautiful country to visit...and while I found some things in English, I know that if I did want to live there, I would have to learn Italian. Wben our ancestors came to this country, they learned English...they had to, or they wouldn't survive. That's the way it should be now...you want to live in this country, learn the language.
Thanks for point that out.
Sorry dude. P&G operates in every country on earth. Big deal. So do companies in my business.
Some of their customers speak english, hence the english labeling. Some don't. Its not a conservative issue. Its a marketing issue.
If you like their chips, eat them. I don't, so I eat others. I don't even notice if the label is in english or spanish. But then I speak spanish, so I wouldn't care if it did.
Gruel that barely qualifies as potatoes, extruded and freeze-dried into a pseudo-potato chip shape, then stacked like poker chips in a cardboard tube.
lol
CM is a good guy. Why zot
That's what happens when you turn on Univision late at night to oogle the girls [THWAP!!! -- Sorry, Honey...]
That's a nice explanation as to why I don't buy them. A boycott on my part wouldn't make a dent in their sales volume.
Yes, Pringles are what is left over from a potato after it has been used as a potato chip, a french fry, a disgusting thing called a potatoe nugget and other flaked and formed versions of potatoes. The slurry left over is formed, fried and salted and sold as a Pringle.
Madre de dios!
LOL! You make it sound so appealing.
Comenzaré quizá a fijar todos mis comentarios en español apenas para confundir a gente. ¿Después de todo, si fijo en español debo tener una agenda?
I should have used other terminology. CMan is one of my favorite Freepers and an asset to the state of Oklahoma. I was flagging the admin moderator to pull the thread.
All immigrants or just illegal immigrants? If it's all immigrants, then you have pretty much confirmed what I suspected from your insane, over the top rant.
