If the effects of one's life last no more than a generation past one's death, that is a loser.

Before I get hate mail...even if all you do is contribute to the raising of your children to be better people, who in turn inspire their children, you are not a loser. On the other hand, if you spawn demon seeds and waste your life in leotards, you are a loser.

The Stones inspired a drug culture. But, they never really inspired a musical change. Almost everything they did was ripped off from somoene else.

Well, I grew up with the Stones, and I have a six-year-old daughter now. Every time she gets petulant because I won't buy her some toy or knick-knack that she can't live without, I break into a chorus of: "You Can't Always Get What You Want."

She really hates that song now, but she gets the point.

So if only in this tiny way, Jagger has made a positive contribution to the raising of the next generation.

Their name was taken from the Willie Dixon song that Muddy Waters made famous. You're right and yet it's a fact that's been glossed over. People like the Rolling Stoners and a few other imitators got famous by ripping off the black American blues artists.
