PRESIDENT Bush takes it on the chin in the new Rolling Stones tune "Sweet Neo Con." In the most political song from their upcoming "A Bigger Bang" album, Mick Jagger sings: "You call yourself a Christian, I call you a hypocrite/ You call yourself a patriot. Well, I think your are full of [bleep]!" Jagger tells Newsweek he's not sweating possible repercussions. "I think [Keith Richards] is a bit worried because he lives in the U.S.," crows the English rocker. "But I don't."

The contrast with the current prevailing lot -- who not only haven't managed to produce even one supportive major work of art, but continue to do all they can to disunite, distract, misinform, demoralize -- is really tragic, and frightening.
Whatever one may feel about Jagger's remarks, antics and refusal to gracefully exit the public eye in his advancing years, it really makes no sense to call him a complete loser.
Anyone who has made as much great music (even if his best was decades ago), sold as many albums over so many years, earned hundreds of millions over the course of his lifetime, bedded many of the hottest women on the planet, gotten himself knighted, can still sell out concerts even decades after his best is behind him, is still in physical shape to to what he does at his age cannot POSSIBLY be a loser if that term is to have any meaning.
A cad, a jerk, a miserly, preening, narcissistic, self-important, uncaring, debauched pig of a human being, possibly.
But a LOSER? I think not.
I'm tickled with myself in that I never cared a thing about Mick Jagger and his bunch.
I won't buy their album, and I have a fact for them as well. People don't really give a rat's ass what they think. Here's hoping they fail with their new album!
Known as such by whom?
I have to admit, I never paid much attention to the Rolling Stones. Until recently, I could not have identified even one of their songs. Then the local radio station played a medley of their hits. At first I thought it was a joke, a parody. But no, it was the Rolling Stones all right. Their lyrics were puerile and the music was clunky. I wondered how they ever got to be so famous. (But then, I wondered the same about Bob Dylan.)
Mick missed the point. To the Left, "Neo Con" is a code word for "Jewish Republican"
Mick Jagger: Is he qualified to be the judge of the world?
You too?
Well his guitar playing shure makes it seem like that is the case. Hard to write a hit song when your lead guitarist is a mummified drug repository!

In fact, Keith Richards was dead for several years. He came back to life a few years ago and looks much better now (in his 80's).
I won't be doing it either. But, yawn, it's been done. During the election campaign there were a number of Bush bashing songs. So why them, why now? Either very late or trying to give Dem contenders a boost? Or just stupid. Is Mick pulling a 'Jane Fonda'? Coming out after much (insert sound of crickets) lack of public attention to bash Bush, because that will get attention.
Jagger is simply a crankie OLD MAN......BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA..
I agree. It's a shame these idiot entertainers have all fried their brains. Maybe they can sing, daace and act but the sure can't think.
...didnt Jagger die already?
"mick jagger must be wanting to date barbara stresiand."
Nah, he's probably more fonda hanoi jane.
Yeah, I can imagine that the term "neo con" doesn't bother Mick because he thinks neo cons are socialists, as do many freepers. I guess I am not surprised to find that Mick himself is way over on the Left, though. Yes, I will assume anti Israeli sentiments on his part.
Any bets this tour will not make as much money as previous tours?
"If the Stones have not Jumped The Shark twenty years ago, they are now."
They jumped the shark before Fonzie did.
Rolling Stones ping.
