IT'S enough to make you wonder why they insist on putting the seat down.
A new survey shows 22 per cent of professional Australian women crouch or squat over the toilets in their workplaces rather than risk contact with the seats. And another 14 per cent - making more than a third of women overall - wipe the seat first, then crouch over the seat just to be safe.
The survey, conducted by Initial Healthcare, gathered the responses of 200 women working in advertising agencies, publishing, finance, pharmaceutical and general business in Australia last month.
Forty-six per cent of respondents wiped down the seat with toilet paper if they thought the seat appeared dirty, while 18 per cent simply refused to use their work toilets if they felt they were unclean.
Only five per cent said their offices provided a bactericide spray or wipe to ensure hygiene.
Eighty per cent of women wanted to have a sanitary bin that opened without the need to touch it.
"The survey reminds us of how important clean facilities are to staff in any office, not to mention clients who may visit," Initial Healthcare said in a statement.
tears ... I'm in TEARs I tell ya! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Legs,
I hope when I grow up I can be as funny as you are!
Granny
You young'uns and your high expectations!
I reckon Hitlery toilet paper would sell like the clappers.
Somebody tried it with Lard Ass Kennedy once, but the sheets weren't big enough...
I do that too! The less my body that touches a ladies restroom toilet the better.
What's gross is when women go in the stall, come out, DON'T wash their hands and then start applying lipstick and touching their face and hair. I think it's disgusting for women AND men not to wash their hands after going to the bathroom. It's simple hygiene that some people just can't grasp.
Well, THIS thread explains a WHOLE BUNCH about the condition of various "ladies rooms"! LOL!
Hmmm.. ONLY 22 percent? Maybe many were reluctant to admit it. Or maybe, thats why the 22 percent dont sit on the seat.
LOL@ the foot flush. Glad to know I'm not the only one.
Personally, I like those handicapped toilets.. much cleaner(less used) and easier to crouch over. I don't imagine I'll use public toilets when I get older and the knees give out.
I never pee on my hands!
LOL!
Then you'll love this. Somebody put hidden cameras into the sink areas of public restrooms to see how many people wash their hands after going. They found that most people don't wash their hands, unless somebody else is in the bathroom. Then they wash, for show.
Just git'r done.
By the way, the only way to keep the peace at my place is for everyone to leave the toilet seat the way they found it. If it was up when you went in there, it better be up when you leave. Down..same thing.
However I find it, I don't move it.
The world is my urinal. HAHAHAHAHA!
After many years of working with me, my co-workers know to wash their hands before leaving the restroom if I am in the vicinity. I will bring it up if they skip, and I don't even care if it's the company CEO. People passing their germs along at work can damage lives, or at least make someone miserable.
Hey, at least Jenny isn't so constipated...
Lol, but something many of us ladies already knew! My motto - touch nothing! Or at least as little as possible. And not just at work.
Explain she pee but not tmi!!!!
