Yeah...it does explain a lot, come to think of it.
Welcome to FreeRepublic, SirKit.... I'm with you on "Sir SuziQ". It wouldn't work well for you outside the Hobbit Hole :~D
Agreed.
Good morning!
Good morning Corin!
Good morning!
Must
get
coffee....
Well, good morning! I'm bound and determined to be cheerful even if I kill myself. Since this is before I've finished my caffeine, it just might.
Today is the start of a new semester for me. Hopefully I do better than last semester, though 'not doing worse' would be adequate.
Welcome 'SirSuziQ'! We shall end up having your whole family on here sooner or later.
Here's to not doing worse :~D Cheers!
Thanks I think. I really would like to excel this semester. We'll see.
Nnnngh... gotta get lunch together... find my keys... locate a novel...
Well, I am very cheerful! Steve told me Saturday evening that he doubts he'll ever have to stay after work to work on the paper again. He said he thinks he's to the point that any tweaks will be done during work hours (which is ok with his employer, because they want that study!) So as far as I'm concerned, it's all over!
On the way to church yesterday, I said "It's a shame to take those three hours of thesis and not get anything out of them." Which led to a conversation about taking an engineering class instead. Which led to a conversation about seeing how close he is to getting an engineering bachelors degree.
~sigh~
On another note, he spoke with two people at church, one is in our homeschool group. He gave Steve two names to contact at Williams here in town. That's the company he wants to go to work for. Then, our Sunday school teacher asked him to email him his resume so he could give it to a guy at his job. He works for TD Williams...they make pigs. Pigs that route out oil pipelines, or something like that. Kinda like a roto-rooter type thing.
Luke, use the force.
Your freezer, I take it, is supposed to be the ice planet Hoth.
They make pigs.
Oooookay.
Ooh...I just read a book where they talked about pigs - they were thingies that could be put into a pipeline to clean or to separate substances (i.e. they could put through one type of oil, then a pig, then something else) and the most sophisticated have sensors to detect any damage to the inside of the pipes and stufflikethat. Pretty interesting.
Yep! That's it!
The only thing is...they go to Iraq. This particular company has workers in Iraq.
Just hoping the call comes pretty quickly so I don't have to spend hours and hours on pins and needles! And it'd be awesome if they could fit me into the schedule in a hurry...
Reading through sample interview questions and pondering possible answers. I know I'm not going to have things down pat and don't think I should...but some of the questions I was asked at the other interviews came as a complete surprise and I wasn't able to answer coherantly. I can't risk that this time!
It's still pretty early there yet...right?
I can't stand the suspense!
Great screen name! I love it!
More Hobbit Holers / FReepers are always good...spread the madness!
Yeah, just after eight. I'm figuring if I'm lucky, they'll call sometime before ten. I hope.
I think the final decisions on interviewees was made on Thursday, so they've already skipped a day. Dunno if they're in any kind of hurry or not.
they call them pigs. (excuse my ignorance, are we talking living, breathing pigs?)
The only connection I can think of is that pigs are used to find truffles?
