Okay, what's a dust gun?
It broadcasts dust stuff (like Sevin pesticide) on yer plants.
Cool, looks pretty heavy duty for pesticides, 'superior firepower'. Can't say we use much in the way of pesticides. We don't even weed or grub control in the back yard since Gypsygirl is there a lot. We do in the front yard, though.
"Laptop case" is only its secondary purpose. You should know that!
Same goes for guitar cases, mando cases, whistle bags...
'Course now I'll have to try to de-fur it again.
How do you get cat hair out of velcro?
I dunno, but if you figure it out, let me know...
Heh...I've attempted to use a comb before, but it tends to straighten out the little hooks.
Those cats tried sleeping on my laundry while I was eating breakfast. Fortunately it hadn't been washed yet... I don't mind cat hair but it makes me itch if it's inside a shirt.
Cats sleeping on unwashed laundry? My cat prefers laundry fresh out of the dryer.
She didn't let them try it afterwards to see which they preferred.
Cruel, I tell ya...just cruel. Heh...
Poor kitties!
I think they'd take what they can get. Though I'm not up for folding the clean stuff yet, it's carefully shut up in my bedroom. The cats are not allowed in there ;-)
Afternoon.
Back from church. Thought about weedin' but it's just too dang hot and muggy. If I can put it off long enough, I can just mow 'em. ;-)
Treerat varmints ate thru muh woodpecker feeder (muh birthday present). I'm thinkin' of takin' it back to the store 'cause they said "you can lock the top (which I did) and the squirrels won't get to it."
Cleaning up the computer and workin' on pool board files.
Fer the geeks amongst us...Corin's daily question. Since it's Sunday, you can answer one and get another one free.
I'm getting a "cannot find file" every time I open Windows. Just me. Says "wtKernal" can't be found. I Googled it and it said it was probably from a downloaded game (which I presume I've deleted). Any thoughts on how best to get rid of it?
And, RollerCoaster Tycoon2 keeps cuttin' out on me. Doesn't shut down, but the monitor will blink and the window will be minimized. I can go right back to it.
I thought yesterday it might have been the modem trying to get back online (when the Internet was out), but it's continued to happen and Jr. says it's happened to him for quite a while. Thoughts?
Check and see if the downloaded and deleted game shows up on the Add/Remove Programs list. Sometimes an incomplete uninstall can lead to problems. It probably won't, but it's worth a shot.
If you've still got the cd for RollerCoaster Tycoon, I would try uninstalling and reinstalling that too, just in case something's a little messed up with the game itself rather than a conflict.
I'm sure our neighbors feel that way right now with the equipment, etc. we have in the back yard. No help for it. It's gotta be there if we're gonna do the work. They have NO idea what we have in mind, and it's gonna knock their socks off when we're finished! Course, they may have gotten disgusted and moved by then, but maybe we'd get some neighbors with sweeter dispositions. This one complains no matter what! She even b*itched about the neighbor right next door to her on the other side putting in a swimming pool for their kids. She just knew it would be a pain with all that noise. She really needs to move to one of those 'over 55 and no kids' developments!
Well, I spoke to Celeste.
I was in the bathroom at church, all by myself, brushing my hair between worship and Sunday school. She came in and I turned and saw her and said "Well, hello there." She stopped in her tracks and said "Are we still friends?" and then burst into tears. I said "How long have we been friends?" and she said "I just didn't know, I haven't heard from you in so long!" I said "Well, I have to say, I've been pretty upset and I had a lot to work through. But now that things seem to be settling down, what it all comes down to is that we have two groups now, which isn't a bad thing. And you know that I've not been real happy with the support group for a long time and for the first time I'm excited about what I'm doing."
Then she told me people had said some pretty awful things about her and I said "People are pretty unhappy." She nodded and I told her "I want you to know that I'm over information for BA CHEF and I don't allow anyone to say anything bad about anyone on either side of this issue, at least in the areas I can control."
Then I asked how her son was (Matthew's friend, he's been sick). Some light chitchat about that and then I went to my class.
I was amazingly calm. I felt strong. I didn't shed a tear. You note that I didn't castigate her, but neither did I absolve her. She did wrong, in my opinion and until she is repentant and asks forgiveness, we'll never have the friendship we had before. But at least now I believe I can handle seeing her in the hall at church and when I drop off and pick up Matthew at Latin.
I'm just amazed at how calm I felt. Normally I'm anti-confrontational...I avoid confrontation if I can help it. But this time I was absolutely at peace.
Afternoon.
It's muggy and cloudy here....when are we supposed to get that sunshine they keep promising?
I'm watching "Ask This Old House" trying to get inspired. It's not working. *yawn*
Had to do a little more than that. May have messed up games the wife and Jr. play...too bad.
But it seems to have corrected the RollerCoasterTycoon problem as well. go figger.
Well good! Glad you've got stuff working.
Well, the big difference is your efforts are a work in progress.
They, however, do a project quickly, say over a weekend, and are done.
Their resulting completed projects are what 'lowers the value'.
Consider telling the neighbors, "those aren't weeds, I'm 'naturalizing' my landscaping efforts". Worth a try and certainly less labor intensive.
