New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |

Still round the corner there may wait |

Home is behind, the world ahead, |
I've been messing around with the guitar today. And remembering that it is wayyyy more addictive than the mandolin. I have no idea why that's so...but I can play the mandolin for awhile and then put it down. Guitar, on the other hand, can make me burn dinner, forget appointments, be late to work, stay up half the night...you get the idea. Tend to get really absorbed and lose track of time if I'm not careful.
And I started learning a coupla new pieces. I may be in trouble. Unfortunately I can't find the book I really want to learn stuff from. Dunno where it wandered off to. Has some fingerstyle arrangements of fiddle tunes in it that I wanna start on.
Ah...nice happy ending. Heh...
Yeah.
I guess he's still in trouble with the mob.
I know! I believe she's a year younger than our #2 son!
I'm suddenly reminded of the "locksmith" episode of TV show "Police Squad!".
"Who are you, and how did you get in here?"
"I'm a locksmith... and, I'm a locksmith."
Don't know about no soul lagging. All I know is that my tummy took a couple of days to get over the effects of the change of diet and exercise pattern. I've been mostly a slug since I got home, and I'd been walking at leat 3 or more miles every day for the previous two weeks. The day after I got home, I realized my feet and ankles looked like Hillary's! They were like balloons! I drank some lemongrass tea that is considered a diuretic, and the next day, they were back to normal. I'm hoping to get back to my walking tomorrow. Don't want to gain ANY of that weight back!
I am! And cuter, too!
I no longer own the new support group egroup. Someone stepped forward, someone I like a lot, and said she'd take it so I transfered ownership to her and relinquished my ownership and left the group.
Now it's just me and my old CHEF egroup...I'm relieved that that task is done.
Hehehe... I just love Police Squad!
"We're sorry to bother you at such a time like this, Mrs. Twice. We would have come earlier, but your husband wasn't dead then."
His hair's longer. ;o)
Gooood morning! Happy Monday FWIW.
I won't bother going into the details of my horrific experiences with Becky's first day in 2nd grade. All I'll say is that I hate this place more than ever.
That said, on to happier things...
Matthew says "Thanks!"
Good morning everyone...
I'm sorry to hear about the CHEF scouring, sis. :-(
(((2J)))
You forgot to set the whole top on fire. I'm ooooollld now.
Hehehe....I'm told that my sister-in-law had a Bday cake for my brother with 40 candles on it. Dang near set the fire alarm off.
Monday. Urgh.
I think classes start next week. Maybe I oughta find out and get my books.
Thatnks, Ruthy...it's a sad situation all around.
I've been surprised however at the response of my "announcement" that the BA CHEF egroup would remain the same and that I would not be joining up with the new support group.
I think most of the ladies thought that since Celeste and I were practically joined at the hip at the meetings, I would be going with Celeste to the new support group. They apparently have figured out how I must be feeling, because I've gotten a lot of kind and encouraging emails from those staying with BA CHEF and even some voicing appreciation for what I've done in the past from some going with the new support group.
I've cried a lot, but I don't feel quite so awfully alone.
Our first "BA CHEF" meeting since the split is tomorrow.
