Remember "Pachisi"? :>)

Refresh my poor, tired, ever-so-ready-to-go-on-R&R memory?

Is this one of Elaine's abominations?

Oh yeah, her "American Online" drove you batty. Pachisi was some board game we played as kids but everyone said PaRchisi...I think Mom used to roll her eyes at that...

I've always said that if I ran a company with an automated phone system...It would say "Press One for English...two for Spanish" but if you pressed 2, all it would say would be "this is America, please hang up and learn English, and try your call again." That statement would be in Spanish (which I don't speak).

And "For all intensive purposes." Who came up with that one?

That's one that really gets me. It's for ALL INTENTS and purposes...

Yes, I know the correct phrase. ;-)

While I'm at it, I really hate when people say "berfday" for "birthday."

Your ex-wife? She's not supposed to be your "pet" anything anymore!

Yeah, but I still miss her.

But don't worry - my aim is improving!

At my grocery store, there are dozens of cart parking areas throughout the parking lot. Twenty seconds max to put the cart away.

After spending $400 to get my car repaired after it was rammed by a runaway cart, I have a hard time with people who don't even attempt to anchor them to something.

Follow-up... lest you think me insensitive.

I wouldn't want you to leave your baby unattended in the car for any length of time. However, those who find themselves in this position can at least make sure the cart is butted up against something and not likely to escape. Or, put the groceries away, put the cart away, and carry the baby back to the car.

I shall not judge mothers with infants, having never had one myself. However, I will judge able bodied people without infants who leave their carts all over the darn place!

People who leave their dog locked in the car when it's hot out! I hate those people!

People who won't control their kids in the stores....

People who won't dress appropriately for their weight!

People who wait till all their items are rung up at the register THEN they pull out their checkbook and THEN they write out a check and won't get out of your wau until they have put everything back in their purse, put their sunglasses one etc etc.... ergggggg!

I go on, but I won't

And I will agree with you there!!

An infant is usually in his car seat and it's a lug across the lot, and a squirming toddler isn't fun to carry either. However, what I try to do is to seek out another parent unloading her cart and take it from her to use as my cart when I can.

I have a pet peeve about handicapped parking. I just saw a woman I know with a child with Tay Sachs disease use the handicapped spot. This was outside a gym, where the lad underwent a heavy one hour therapeutic workout! Yes, he has some differences, but there is no need for them to have that placard.

Also, my elderly father-in-law has a handicapped placard from his cardiologist because he had bypass surgery a few years ago. He uses it to park really close to the mall, go in, and walk his daily three miles!!!

Each time I have been 9 months pregnant, with other kids, I have to park wherever I find a spot, but these above people in great physical condition, going to bleeping exercise, are getting preferential parking.

There, I feel better now.

Good points!

The next time I see a mother with young children and a shopping cart... I'll ask her if I can return it for her.

Maybe she watched the movie Ghost way too many times. That sounds very annoying.

Most of these have already been listed, but hey - it's a chance to vent.

Drivers who won't move over after passing.

People who stand like blank-eyed cattle the whole time their purchases are being rung, only to be shocked by the revelation that now they have to get out their card/checkbook/whatever to pay.

Effeminent men. Not gays, neccesarily, but men who don't act like men.

Property taxes.

Acceptance of violations to the 2nd and 4th Amendments. Especially in the name of enhanced tax property collections.

Someone blowing their nose at the table.

Coworkers who won't make a new pot of coffee after they've taken the last cup.

Telemarketers.

Retail cashiers who presume a right to my phone number/zip code for the pleasure of doing business with the company. [rant] And WTF does 'unlisted' mean to you??? Don't waste my time argueing with me over it. If you "won't call or give out my number," then you REALLY don't need it, do you? [/rant]

Anyone who mistakes a polite silence for stupidity... or tacit agreement with their idiotic liberal brain droppings.

Mmmmmmmmmm, thanks, I feel better now! ;o)
