My family used to live in a two-family apartment that had two bathrooms when we were still in Bath Beach, but that was years ago.

It was a very convenient arrangement, you might say.

:)

ROFL!

What's that old joke about the kid going to Summer Camp and the parents moving?

Actually, she's a good kid, and I like having her around.

I always cry on the First Day of school.

Two bathrooms is quite a luxery since we only have three people.

However, the old house only had the one, and there WAS some squabbling.

You should have seen her when she found out that here you can order pizza on the phone and have it delivered. Where we lived before, it was a minimum of 20 minutes to the nearest pizza place and they would not deliver where we were. So pizza was a rare treat. i'd sometimes get one if I had t be in town anyway. The first month we were here, i got VERY tired of pizza, very quickly. I finally declared a moratorium on pizza, and the new rule is "Once a month, unless it's an emergency or something special like a sleep-over"

Pizza's my favorite food almost, but I rearely have it. I pig out too much. On many occasions, I've eaten a large by myself, so I don't try to go that route too much anymore. I learned to love pizza from school. This social studies teacher would take us out for pizza if we did one of the best on the test. In two years, I went 11 times and enjoyed every minute of it.

I don't know Gabz personally, but I have always liked her posts. She's a voice of reason many times.

You know you have a large family when there's a line for the bathroom ... at midnight!

I like having my kids around, too ... but not forever. Barring a tragedy, I'll be almost 60 when Baby Whosis is ready for college or the Marine Corps - I'll be ready for some peace and quiet!

My mom who will be 59 will finally have everyone out of the nest after next year. She's always got a million things to do so I think she'll keep busy. I'm tempted to move back home just to have some decent food:).

It's always nice to see a good mom. They're my favorite since mine was so good.

LOL - fortunately, the women in my family live a long time, unless they smoke. I expect 20 years or so of a house to myself (and Der Prinz). Maybe we'll go into professional Scouting ... he can do outdoors and survival stuff, and I can teach traditional crafts and housewares.

After 8 kids, my mom should get some rest, but I don't think she will. You should run your own day camp.... The women in my family live long even if they do smoke. My great great great Grandma smoked a huge pipe and lived to be 99 years, 11 months, and 15 days old. My great great grandpa used to tell my great grandpa to not smoke as a kid because if his grandma hadn't smoked, she would have live to be 100.

I've got a LONG ways to go. I'll probably have a 10 foot beard by the time I retire.

I can't keep Caitlin fed anymore it seems.

I was watching her this afternoon, and I can tell just by looking, she's going to do yet another growth-spurt.

She's already seveal inches taller than me and she's only 13.

(I'm 4'11"...She's about 5'4" and is showing no signs of stopping anytime soon)

Well, I try to be an affectionate, involved mom if nothing else.

not sure how "good" a mom I am. somedays we just blow off the work and go to the movies or out to lunch or play a game.

But thank you!

:-)
