Day 67--will tomorrow bring freedom to DUmmieland?
Has it finally been established that GAOT is Undie?
Not 100% sure who the DUmmie "greatauntoftriplets" is, but 99% sure who it is.
This based upon exhaustive analysis of word usage, grammatical tendencies, vocabulary, whatnot--unlike the dirty one, we don't go looking under skirts to find ICQ numbers or any of this other prying nonsense.
We do things on the up-and-up.
"They really only tolerate the right of center democratic viewpoint. "
DU is right of center. They are joking, right? ROTFLOL!
Not for nothing, but the image posted by a would be DUmmie "truthseeker" is pretty funny. It's a Bartcop image so I don't want to post it here.
When the elections get closer the number of FR posters will increase. I was a lurker until 2002, and I noticed then that during election years FR really becomes a treasure.
Regards.
You know, going clear back into the deep deep deep DUmmie archives, it is interesting.
The DUmmie PUnidiot "William Pitt" was, apparently, one of the very first members of democraticunderground, which began circa January 2001.
The Andyites appear to have migrated into DUmmieland the summer and autumn of 2002, including the red round one himself; in one of his earliest comments, the red round one alleged he had sent $100 to a candidate for the U.S. Senate from Massachusetts, opposing John Kerry.
Perhaps he cashed in one of those gold pieces in his mattress, to make the donation?
But anyway, the early "William Pitt"--say, circa January 2001 until December 2002, when the "hold" of the Andyites on DUmmieland became more visible--showed a vigor and spirit obviously absent now.
One wonders why.
Well, it's just really interesting.
I'll be posting links sometime later this week, showing how the once-vibrant, once-vigorous DUmmie "William Pitt" slowly deteriorated into the DUmmie PUnidiot he is today.
A deterioration which essentially coincided with the stampeding migration of the Andyites the summer and autumn of 2002, into democraticunderground.
One never knows for sure what goes on behind the curtains, but if public exhibition of conduct offers any clue, it is likely that someone, over a long period of time, was subjected to relentless cajoling, arm-twisting, and even threats of bodily harm, to see things the Andyites' way.
Add to the mix that this someone is known to be an unsure, pliable person with a "need" to hang around the "in crowd"--the moon borrowing its radiance from the sun, again--and well, it is easy to see what happened.
The members of democraticunderground who have been examining these long-ago threads with me, seem to agree that democraticunderground dominated by "William Pitt" was a much better, freer, happier place than the current DUmmieland occupied by the Andyites.
"Oh, for the good old days," they sigh.
I don't know frank, this seems like a romanticized vision of DU's early days.
Have you seen this yet? Looks like Ben Burch found a new buddy.

Friends:
Now that my fund-raising drive is over, I'd like to say a few words about one of the radio shows here at White Rose.
Joe Vecchio of the Cup O' Joe Radio Show has just completed his one hundredth episode, a remarkable feat when you consider that, unlike most of the other hosts we have here at White Rose, Joe gets absolutely no income for what he does. Zero. He does what he does because, like so many of us, his passion for what it means to be an American, and his horror at what is happening to the American Dream, compels him to speak out on issues that affect people's lives.
Joe has worked on the show for almost two years now: he recorded it while he was working, and he has continued to record it since he was laid off just before Christmas 2004: the factory he worked at is closing its doors and moving to Mexico, an occurance all too common in this day and age.
In honor of his one hundredth show, I'm looking for a hundred people willing to donate just five dollars a month to help Joe out: a "Century Club" of supporters. This money will provide Joe with a basic income that will allow him to pay his bills, get medicine for his wife, and continue to do the show as he looks for work. And when he finds work, it will allow him to upgrade his equipment so that he can improve the quality of his show.
I've known Joe for many years now, and it's my opinion that people like him, people of passion and talent struggling to make a better life for all of us, should not be allowed to wither on the vine because of something as petty as money. Five dollars a month is a small price to pay to keep shows like Cup O' Joe on the air.
And of course, if you don't want to donate on a regular basis, feel free to make a one-time donation in the amount of your choice! Every little bit helps!
-Ben
I see Scamdy.com is finally getting a couple of Andy believers commenting. Hawkeye X says he's going to get the site shutdown, oooo. Here is the threat:

Mr./Ms. Guest is talking about PayPal:

So far, Scamdy.com has been where everyone can drop info and then start linking the inconsistancies. There hasn't been much arguing. Andy believers are getting brave enough to post over there. Haven't answered the 3 questions to make the site disappear. I believe it's too late now.
I hope Andy & Co. are enjoying their fame. How embarrassing to be involved in this fundraiser. Credibility is soooo shot. I wonder if it was worth it to them? I wonder how having Andy involved in election reform will hurt the cause. Time will tell. This fundraiser should be thrown in his face everytime he opens his mouth shouting for verification and transparency. Along with the hypocrisy on Universal Healthcare.
Thanks for posting the links.
BTW, still getting emails (via anonymous yahoo account) for money.

Yeah, I've been watching my patch of real-estate, Scamdy.
There's cattle not mine grazing on it, but the pasture itself is mine, and I think it works out great.
There seems to be a problem here.
What exactly has the red round one done for vote fraud?
As far as I can tell, the red round one's delivered nothing.
In this sense, the red round one is smarter than Bev Harris ever was; Bev Harris at least tried to prove vote fraud--worked on it diligently, worked on it vigorously--but because she didn't deliver for the DUmmies, they abhor (to put it mildly) her.
As long as the red round one "promises" to deliver on vote fraud, but doesn't actually do any work on it, he has the DUmmies tied around his little finger.
And that's the secret; promise, promise, promise.....
You know, I thought the red round one was "finished" with paypal.
Remember that the red round one sometime in mid-May pronounced to the world that he didn't want the business of paypal.....and then a week or ten days later, the DUmmiette announced paypal had ceased any association with the red round one.
But apparently not?
By the way, it has been noted by a regulatory agency in Washington (NOT the secretary of state, although one hopes the secretary of state happens to come upon it), the paypal link on www.AndyStephenson.com, which is still active.
To the average person, that link gives the appearance of soliciting contributions for his long-ago-dead candidacy for Washington secretary of state.
There are probably going to be questions about this, and perhaps it might be a wise idea for the red round one to redo his web-site.
Remember though, lots of MN folks love this guy, too. LOL!

You know, madam, when it comes to getting news from an audiological source, I get most of mine from National Public Radio.
Since "listening" demands a strenuous physical effort on my part--like running the four-minute mile or doing 500 push-ups in half an hour--I don't care to do it very often, and when I do do it, I just want the straight information, no commercials, no music, no nothing but straight information.
Several times, I have caught the tail-end of these "Prairie Home Companion" shows, and to be blunt, that show--at least the tail-end of it--is just plain stupid; no redeeming social, cultural, or intellectual value in it.
I hate it when I waste energy like that.
