KY on Fox???
Posted on 06/29/2005 8:26:17 AM PDT by Scarchin
Okay - I'm a teacher on vacation and watching Fox news.
It's 11:00 in the morning and an ad comes on for "KY massage and personal lubricant." The husband lights up when the wife says "personal lubricant" and she says it again at the end of the ad and winks. There is a clear sexual tone to the ad.
Is it me or is this out of bounds?
Anyone else see it?
I'm calling FOX and I'll post what happens.

Ok, maybe it wasn't the best response for when she asked me what "male performance" was. It ended the conversation.

How about that foot fungus commercial where a husband and wife are cuddled together on the couch, and the husband says "We've been married for six years and she won't let me touch them!" and then the wife says "I hate my feet..."

I have to admit I think we're over-inundated with 'strong penis happy penis' ads. But finding out that there is an adult world out there that includes sex is really not news to kids...

There is nothing wrong with not wanting to raise your children in a cesspool.....There was a day when one would not even think about allowing that type of advertising on TV.

You're right... It wasn't always this way. I don't exactly know what to do about it at this point, but I do think we Americans have more neuroses than perspective about sex.

If you have one lasting longer than four hours, that would really mess up a good round of golf!

Actually, I think they knew about sex before TV like this.... but it probably didn't occur to them that it sometimes didn't work. Now they'll probably have a complex about whether, if a quiet time, becomes the right time, if they'll be ready.
