KY on Fox???
Posted on 06/29/2005 8:26:17 AM PDT by Scarchin
Okay - I'm a teacher on vacation and watching Fox news.
It's 11:00 in the morning and an ad comes on for "KY massage and personal lubricant." The husband lights up when the wife says "personal lubricant" and she says it again at the end of the ad and winks. There is a clear sexual tone to the ad.
Is it me or is this out of bounds?
Anyone else see it?
I'm calling FOX and I'll post what happens.
TOPICS:
KEYWORDS: ads; alsogoodfordabutt; foxnew; ineedlubricant; ky; lube; nannystate; rubitin; slipitin; slippedout; trashtv

Take two Cristie Lanes and call me in the morning.

It's par for the course. I'll scream if I see another one of those "Male Performance" ads. Lubrication, though rarely, lasting longer than 4 hours requires immediate meedical attention.

I had to tell my daughter the Levitra pills are to help your performance playing golf. So you'd rather she think it's OK to take drugs to help you in sports?

Scarchin...I am with you. I don't even have cable just so within our family sanctuary; we don't have our 7 & 9 year-old children clicking onto something that we may find objectionable.
But on network television at any time of the day and night, there are ads dealing with "erection", "personal lubrication"....and a number of things that I don't wish to discuss with my young children at this time.
And before anyone contends that I am some type of prude, save your typing. I just don't think that personal sexual items need to be advertised during certain times. It seems that for the last 50+ years of television, these items sold just fine without a saturation of advertisements.

In MA 'pubic-screwl'... they teach kids how to apply it to a zucchini. Of course, that's only after they read 'Megan Has Two Mommies'.

I've seen it on TBS late in the evening. I don't think it's appropriate there either.

a Geico-type ad for KY would be getting a tube of Ben Gay out by mistake and using it as KY :)
Imagine That!
THAT would fix that smartazz gekko lizard, eh?

Those ads are terrible and should not be on TV. It is another example of the debasing of our cultureYes, to admit, in public that adults have sex is something children should never know ;~D [sarcasm] It might one day lead to more children ;~D
