Range? DeNiro is the same guy in every movie. Just like Tom Cruise.

Pacino even turned down the role of Han Solo in the original Star Wars. Whoop$.

De Niro is an actor, Pachino is a personality that does rage real well.

John Wayne or Jimmy Stewart would be my pick.

I guess you never saw Carlito's Way.No, I haven't. Think I'd change my mind if I saw it?

I like De Niro.
He has adjusted to comedy really well. That line in "Analyze This" when asked "You don't hear 'No' a lot do you?" and he said "well, except for 'No, Please, NO' that sort of thing" was one of the funniest lines/deliveries I have ever seen.

Funny, but in "Heat" although both were great, I gave the slight edge to Deniro.

It is the height of Pacino subtlety. So, yes.
And, though I know he is despised around here, a truly amazing turn by an unrecognizable Sean Penn.

I just looked it up on IMDB and it looks pretty good actually. I'll check it out next time I see it listed.
[Sean Penn] is despised around here
Yeah well, if I avoided all the movies with leftist stars, I'd pretty much have to quit watching movies. :-)

De Niro's choice to be in a movie called meet the Fockers sealed the deal for me. Show some class RD you don't need the money.

I hope you saw the "real" Brazil, not the goopy TV version the producers cut and pasted.
You can get it on DVD now, a three-DVD set with the Terry Gilliam version, the stupid version, and a whole CD of commentary. I got it and LOVE IT.
Can only watch that movie sparingly because it affects me so deeply...

I'm not aware of the goopy TV version. What was different?
I taped mine off HBO about 15 years ago, I think.
