Consider the alternative, Rebel. That's all I have to say.
you have some good points but again youre another Freeper who has forgot 1993-94 if you think there is no difference between the parties.
Then you would have been wrong at least twice already.
The first commenter said it all: What was your realistic alternative to Bush, who would have been MORE conservative on the issues you cite? Gore? Kerry? Please.
I'm not surprised. You think Tariq Aziz is dead, too.
I'm not surprised. You think Tariq Aziz is dead, too.
Do you really think FDR told the people what his "Plan" was
to win WW II.?
Broadcasting our "exit strategy" for the GWOT would be the stupidest thing we can do. What makes you think we don't have one and what makes you think you're entitled to know it if we do?
And what on God's green earth does this President have to do with the Supreme Court's ruling? He hasn't appointed ANY justices and unless one resigns or dies tomorrow, he won't have the ability to do a "recess appointment" because THERE AREN'T ANY VACANCIES FOR HIM TO FILL!!
Sorry, but to me, your "final straw" smells like a "red herring".
He has messed up on a number of big-ticket conservative issues. It is not much consolation to think that Kerry was worse.
The plan for Iraq seems pretty clear. Establish a government and train an army. It's certainly clear to the islamofaschist who are pouring everything they have into Iraq to stop us.
Stay the course NH, hang in there, dance with who brung ya . . . hey, wait a sec, who brung who?
50 mil to Palestinians who celebrated on 9-11. Rubbing elbows with commie viets. Using Marines as garrison troops. Calling patriots 'vigilantes'. Embracing the political third-rail. Failing to close with & destroy the beltway enemy.
It's late, I'm tired . . .
Stay the course, hang in there, dance with . . .
ya da ya da ya da.
You were only cheated if you expected one thing and got another. I can't imagine that could be the case, as W is about as WYSIWYG as they come. He's not really conservative, but he's more so than the alternative. It's too bad we are forced to choose the less undesirable candidate rather than someone we can really support wholeheartedly, but your alternative is to waste your vote on one of the "third party" candidates.
You would not be complaining like this if it were not for FR and the internet.
Reagan did just as many bad things, but the right was kept in the dark because we didn't have the internet to highlight perceived misdeeds like we do now.
The president is the president of all Americans, not just some. Bush has done things worth complaining about, such as amnesty and CFR, but much of the complaints are exaggerated and unwarranted, and they would not have occurred in a non-internet era.
BTW, when you reach your perfect political world, how bout sending me a postcard.
Have a feeling it will be a long time before it hits my mailbox, but do know you will be whining to everyone you can.
Just take a look at the extreme dissatisfaction with RWR inside the party at this point in his second term. And that didn't turn out too badly. Six months is barely enough time to catch one's breath and deal with the inevitable media backlash because they didn't win.
Patience, strength, rebuilding momentum. I may be a little pollyannaish, but if Rove's little statement was all it took to send them over the edge, we're doing ok.
