Another Fishy Story!

On Saturday morning I got up early. I put on my long johns. I dressed quietly.
I got my lunch made, grabbed the dog and went to the garage to hook up the
boat to the truck and down the driveway I went.

Coming out of the garage rain is pouring down; it is like a torrential down pour.
There is snow mixed in with the rain, and the wind is blowing 50 mph.

Minutes later, I returned to the garage. I came back into the house and turned
the TV to the weather channel.

I find it's going to be bad weather all day long, so I put the boat back in the
garage, quietly undressed and slipped back into bed.

There I cuddled up to my wife's back, now with a different anticipation, and
whispered, "The weather out there is terrible."

To which she sleepily replies ,


"Can you believe my stupid husband is out fishing in that sh*t!

One of my 'eccentricities' so to speak is that when I'm upset, I hate to be touched and I need enormous space.

I may vent, but I'm the kind of person that really goes off to my den to lick my wounds. Believe me, when hubby and mom died, I nearly went insane with all the "Well, we just CAN'T leave you alone!" or "Let me give you a hug!" types.

Mostly, I just need to vent, rattle my chains, howl at the moon and then go chase some hunks, erm, ah...rabbits. ;)

Recently a routine police patrol parked outside a local neighborhood bar.

Late in the evening the officer noticed a man leaving the bar so intoxicated that he could barely walk. The man stumbled around the parking lot for a few minutes with the officer quietly observing.

After what seemed an eternity and trying his keys on five different vehicles, the man managed to find his own car, which he fell into. He was there for a few minutes as a number of other patrons left the bar and drove off. Finally he started the car, switched the wipers on and off (it was a dry night), flicked the hazard flasher on and off, tooted the horn and then switched on the lights. He moved the vehicle forward a few inches, reversed a little and then remained stationary for a few more minutes as more patrons left in their vehicles. At last he pulled out of the parking lot and started to drive slowly down the street.

The police officer, having patiently waited all this time, now started up his patrol car, put on the flashing lights, promptly pulled the man over and carried out a Breathalyzer test.

To his amazement the Breathalyzer indicated no evidence of the man having consumed alcohol at all! Dumbfounded, the officer said, "I'll have to ask you to accompany me to the Police station. This Breathalyzer equipment must be broken."

"I doubt it," said the man, "tonight I'm the designated decoy."
