Good morning Everyone!
In yesterday's news, the WH defended Presidential advisor Karl Rove's comments from earlier in the week comparing Dem & R response to 9/11,
while in Senate Hearings Teddy the Swimmer lied & distorted with his usual impunity.
The Dem Party continues to undermine & work to destroy this country, its military, and national security.
We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Maybe Justice O'Connor owns a small home on a beach somewhere....
It's a keeper.
Did you hear Hillary's response over this yesterday?
Breathless. She was giving a radio interview on some sort of reform. When asked about Rove's statement she blasted him, demanding he apologize.
When asked in a follow-up about Turbin Durbin's comments on GITMO, she stated she wasn't here to talk about that.
I wanted to reach in and punch her in the nose. I do not believe in hitting women, but I'd make an exception with her.
Oh, no. A sprained back! I'm so glad a chiropractor helped, kassie. It's horrible when even trying to sleep doesn't bring relief.
I'd say I'm good except the eminent domain issue kept me awake last night.
How is it that the left can frame so many issues as being opposed to big business (Wal Mart and pharmaceuticals come to mind especially) and yet the liberals on the court clearly ruled in favor of big business?
And interestingly, it is the pharmaceutical company Pfizer who will be building a large office park in New London on the property formerly owned by private homeowners, one of whom is a couple in their 80's who have lived there for 50 years.
If the Republicans don't make television ads and learn to "frame" the issues better, we're in big trouble.
You mentioned on yesterday's thread, you had few mosquitoes. We normally have to go in at dusk. This yr. we can sit outside the whole evening. We have had very little rain this spring.
And PETA members are typically pro choice but "pretend" to be interested in saving animals and wildlife. Big disconnect there.
Good luck with your move.

How the Left gets loonier Andrew Bolt
:-)
It is so upsetting.
Thanks for the links.
Good luck to you & Mrs. Chair in your move. Hard work & strained patience is the norm...losing things/breaking things & the priorities in what to do first. The more people involved, usually means a couple different ideas on priorities.
Thanks Molly for starting us out. I still sweat bullets each time I do a Finest Thread. It is getting much easier, but the little things seem to pop up continually. Normally to have the treads in the right grouping (like ATRW, dose, Finest etc) the post article button should be iniated from the prior day thread. That is what I was taught. FRom FR home page or from elsewhere will put it elsewhere.
Kassie, nice to see you are able to sit a bit to post. I hope to get to chiropractor later today also..Am off for a bit.
How about this?
Hitlery calls on governor Pataki to repudiate Karl Rove's remarks regarding liberals
Governor Pataki's response?
I think it's a little hypocritical for Sen. Clinton to call on me to repudiate a political figure's comment, when she never asked Sen. Durbin to repudiate his comments.
PRICELESS!!!
Good for Pataki. It's time we grow a backbone.
Chair...this is a stupid question. I'm assuming there is no way to appeal a SCOTUS ruling. Is that correct?
She never responded to Howard Dean's insult to every single Republican, saying that they never earned an honest day's living.
She never responded to Sen. Reid's unfair criticism of the president - he called the president a loser and a liar. He's never apologized - she never requested that.
She never called for an apology or clarification when Moveon.org called for moderation and restraint in response to the terrorist attacks.
So, when she does that, I'll be glad to listen to her call for me to ask someone to apologize.
Good morning.
It is good to sit in this chair longer than a few minutes without having to move.
What have you been up to?
And Hillary never apologized for standing on the floor of the Senate and waving the newspaper headlined "Bush knew" and she screeched "What did he know and when did he know it" (paraphrase)
There are exactly two ways to overturn a ruling from the SCOTUS that deals with Constitutionality, and only two.
1. SCOTUS issues another ruling overturning the first. (This is rare, as courts tend to adhere to the concept of stare decisis [that which is decided is final] as religiously as Christians hold to the Bible, but it does occassionally happen.)
2. A Constitutional Amendment is enacted that has the effect of vacating the ruling.
Thank you for that answer.
What do you think the likelihood is that our Republican congresscritters will try to push for a constitutional amendment?
And let us not forget the speech given by her husband, UOx42, to Georgetown University, less than two months after the September 11 attacks:
[Excerpts]
"First of all, terror, the killing of noncombatants for economic, political, or religious reasons has a very long history - as long as organized combat itself. Those of us who come from various European lineages are not blameless."
"Indeed, in the first Crusade, when the Christian soldiers took Jerusalem, they first burned a synagogue with 300 Jews in it, and proceeded to kill every woman and child who was Muslim on the Temple mound."
"Here in the United States, we were founded as a nation that practiced slavery and slaves were, quite frequently, killed even though they were innocent."
"[The US] looked the other way when significant numbers of Native Americans were dispossessed and killed to get their land or their mineral rights or because they were thought of as less than fully human and we are still paying the price today."
Ewww, I remember her hateful face and shrieky voice. She's insane.
A nice round number.
