Who's better --- Batman or Superman? The Joker
To: Bratch
HAS to be Batman. Superman surrounded himself with idiots! Those reporters (must work for the NY Slimes) can be fooled by someone putting their glasses on????? At least BM made an attempt to disguise himself. Sure the flying & the incredible strength would be cool, but I'd need that inner strength so as to not b!tch slap the morons I work with!
Thanks, I feel better now...

Go read the Graphic Novel (comic) "The Dark Knight Returns". That comic answered this question.

Aquaman! Because he can talk to fish!

Um, superman is much better than Batman.

superman is more powerful, batman is smarter. Brains beats brawn hands down.
Superman wouldn't even attempt to put Batman down. Hello, kyrtonite bullet anyone?

Batman.
In real life, he's a good ol' fashioned capitalist. Superman, on the other hand, is a disciple of the MSM.
He's got a REAL disguise. As if anyone in real life would be fooled by glasses...
He's got brains...and nifty gadgets. Much cooler than inbred "super powers".

The Apples and Oranges comparison of our modern pop culture!
Superman - the Ultimate Immigrant gifted with talents that make him physically superior to every other person on this planet. While he could easily rule the world he chooses to serve mankind thanks to the excellent parenting he received from the Kent's. Kal-El's efforts to live most of his life as a mundane human being indicates that he's uncomfortable in his god-like role and envies the comparatively simple challenges the humans around him contend with. His need for acceptance, constant awareness of his tremendous abilities and deeply caring nature makes him break complicated circumstances down to their simplest forms. That allows him the greatest justification for his actions while retaining an ethical high ground. Kal-El the ultimate Boy Scout would lose his mind if he varied from his rigid Good/Evil perception of the world.
Batman - seemingly lucky inheritor of great wealth horribly traumatized by witnessing the senseless murder of his parents. His obsession for vengeance was channeled into serving society thanks to his outstanding intellect, discipline and (de facto parent) Alfred's wise guidance. Bruce Wayne deals with his schizophrenia by granting his dark side full blown support and freedom. His success as Batman comes not from just analytical, physical and technical advantages - they're ultimately due to his willingness to push beyond the bounds of reason and sanity without hesitation. Bruce knows he's mentally ill but knows he can keep it together so long as he can reason he's basically better than the scum he apprehends. While the chase often finds him in grey ethical areas the results, to him, justify his means.
