Heh, some creative guesses but the truth is so-o-o-o boring. I write security scripts for online billing, some adult toy retailers use our system. I asked a client once about it on a tech support call.

Funny. I should probably name one one of our servers BOFH just to see if anyone recognises it. Since I manage our DNS (amongst other things), I can pretty much do that on the fly :-)
If I remember correctly Simon is Austrailian. His sense of humor definitely twisted. I wonder if he refers to BOFH on his resume. It might put some prospective employers off. That might be a good thing though. I'd much rather work for someone that 'gets' the Bastard than one who doesn't.
