Michael Savage Broadsides Rush (Calls "Hush Bimbo" a Snagged Elephant, and WORSE)
6/10/05 | Self

Posted on 06/10/2005 8:24:00 AM PDT by NYC Republican

It seems to be a daily occurence... Savage, the ultimate looney nutcase, blasts President Bush from every angle, then broadsides Rush and Sean. He constantly calls Rush "Hush Bimbo", says he's nothing but a GOP mouthpiece, says that he's disgusted by Rush's constant self-promotions...

NO ONE, not even Sean, does more shameless self-promotioning than this moron.

He also said that Rush thinks his listeners are idiots, and talks to them in that way.

What a loser, what an IDIOT.

I listen to Savage off and on. Usually his nastiness causes me to change the channel, but yesterday it was his claim that the President should thank him for getting him elected. He claims sole credit among the talk shows.

If he weren't shooting his mouth off so much, he would be a much better host, as he is actually very intelligent about alot of subjects. Too rough around the edges for me.

I'vve been listening to Savage since before he went national. Up until recently, he never would even allow vague references to other talk show hosts.

I still listen, but admit that his juvenile attacks on others usually gets me to change the station to the "local weather guy turned talk show host".

"Michaels Savage has a fantastic radio voice and is a raconteur par excellence. He definitely has a negative and depressive streak and trashes the other major talk show hosts which takes away from his stature. However on the issue of Islamic terrorism he is by far the clearest voice with the most moral certainty on the radio. Rush and Sean are still somewhat politically correct in describing the true nature of Islamic terrorists but Savage says it like it is and realizes that this is a war for our survival.

On economic issues, Michael Savage is off and Rush is definitely the one who articulates that the best. I wish Savage would stop bashing Rush and Sean because they all appeal to different sections of people and are essentially getting the same core conservative message out. He has a very loyal audience out there and is very very good on the radio so is a force to be reckoned with. His 3 books are absolutely fantastic and combine a very witty and caustic humor with compelling arguments for the conservative case. I think on the whole he is an assett to our side if not the most classy guy out there which I suspect he does not want to be anyway."

Ditto. Savage doesn't understand basic economics. He is right about the White House inviting Elton John and other libs while ignoring conservative talk radio hosts like Rush and Hannity (President Bush should send Hannity a thank you card every day of the week for what he did to help get him elected). Savage is also right about the nature, and resolve of Islamic terrorists and how the West's debauchery and political correctness (something the White House seems to be obsessed with these days) plays into their hands.

Because he has an audience of several million each week. Rush, Sean, etc get attacked plenty by the MSM, the libs, etc, without someone on our side piling on. If his listening audience was in the thousands, big deal... but, it's in the millions.

Dittos on your post #76. I listen to the monologue and turn the radio off.

It's such a letdown. My friend sends me mp3's of Levin, and I always listen to the monologue, and then stop it. Why does Levin have such imbicilic callers?

I've been listening to conservative talk radio since 1988 when Rush started on WMAL (630 am dial) in Washington, DC. I listened to Rush, then Sean as much as possible. Their analyses, commentary, and humor were refreshing like cool, sparkling water in a hot, poisonous MSM. Now I listen to Savage; Rush and Sean seem like sissies to me compared to Savage. God Bless them both, I still listen, but they are out of league when it comes to intelligent analysis and blunt talk. I get bored with Rush but never with Savage - he provides in depth knowledge, perceptive analysis, and continued education for us to counter the daily assaults by the MSM on borders, language, and culture. Savage is the cutting edge.

I never compared his stances to Schummer. Don't put words in my mouth. I said he sounded like Schummer. Does that mean he takes the same stance as Schummer? Of course not! There I just supported my assertion. It would help to read my post a second time. As mentally challenging as it may sound to you

Savage is dull.

He has the talent to be on the microphone but not the brains for the subject.

He has the "angry man" schtick down but even if he is on point he quickly falters into a foaming moron.

Rush has never insulted his listeners, Savage routinly implies his listenership does not know anything but for savages own brilliance.

So what? Are you saying you hate Brooklyn Jewish accents? Rush sounds like he has marbles in his mouth since his cochlear implants. Yet his arguments are cogent. Who cares?

#29---Very VERY well-out!!!! Words right outta my mouth!
I recognize Savage's flaws, but he is the REALEST, most SPONTANEOUS voice on the radio, right alongside Bob Grant, and what he has in common with Grant is real INDEPENDENCE of thought, and an individualistic cast of mind. It's his very RESISTANCE to parroting ANY party line that is his most endearing quality and greatest attribute. Limbaugh and Hannity (though Rush is in a different category altogether) have become tiresome in their bluster, because their overriding message is always that the answer to every question is simply MORE REPUBLICANS IN OFFICE!!!!

Levin thinks it makes him look good if he takes idiots.

He interrupts the good callers with inane comments and is generally a jerk IMO.

Savage is worse than Boortz (whom I like) as far as being completely offensive and not child-friendly. I won't listen to him b/c his commentary is not appropriate for family listening. (Also, he's just plain crabby and arrogant.)

Don't be too harsh on Michael Savage--his theme is 100% correct, even if you don't like his style.

When I heard his take on the minimum wage, I realized then that he is not a conservative at heart...he's a showman.

I am from Brooklyn(Canarsie) you moron. Again putting words in my mouth. I don't like HIS accent and I don't like HIM. It has nothing to do w/ Jewish accents. Is English your first language?

Well Savage is an indie conservative, so I guess that would be CINOs.

He's not fit to shine Rush's shoes.

As ratings demonstrate.
