After receiving numerous complaints that the 1970s sucked and were not worthy of a vanity thread, here at the Pissant/CPOWife Research Center we've decided to select a decade that had more worthwhile activities to ponder. Though many positive events developed during the 1980s, there were plenty of stink-bombs as well. To further our research, we encourage everyone to participate in this scientific survey.
Without further ado, the Best and Worst of the 1980s:

Remeber the episode where the skeleton was found boarded up between walls?
Yeah...some gangster named Tony killed by a crooked cop that was still "searching" for him...
Why that episode? (curious)

The best thing about the 80's was the election of President Reagan, and the birth of my sons.

Freepers should kick off a nationwide fundraiser. Many wealthy donors would kick in!

Best of the 80s: THE 1986 NY METS!!!
Worst of the 80s: The Yank-offs from 1980-1989. When your best pitchers are Rasmussen, Tewksbury and Old Man Niekro, you gotta wonder what Steinbrenner was snorting back in the 1980s.

I wish there was interleauge play back then, The Mets would have slapped them silly.

One of the worst actions of the 1980s was the end of the Mayor's Trophy game around '84, just as the Mets started to get good.
